A heartwarming short story about what goes around comes around. Kindness and good deeds will follow you, that's Karma.
Besides helping someone, doing a good deed warms your own heart and makes you feel good. Helping others gives you a new perspective and keeps you from focusing on your own problems.
Think good thoughts, say good words, do good deeds. Perform random acts of kindness.

I have four adopted children. I have brought them up for 15 years. I felt endless love from them till their teens' age. Now when they left me (they study at the college) they belong to the society. They became very cinical and cunning. They text to me only when they need money. The way the society brings them up frustrates me. Thank you for the hope that there is somewhere another kind of society.
