Studying GTO is cool, but to truly generate a high winrate, you need to exploit your opponents leaks. In this video, I give as much information as I possibly can about how the average players are deviating from theory in all of the postflop nodes. By using this information and these exploits, you will be able to increase your profitability and become a much better player. Enjoy!

I haven't been playing much because I am in the middle of getting my Google Data Analytics certification, a new hobby.. But I am still doing my bankroll challenge when I can. One month in, at micro-stakes and I have just about quadrupled my bankroll. The key, as you point out, is understabdin/srydting theory but taking advantage of every exploit I can spot. You're a Philosophize This! subscriber! When I was first diagnosed with cancer, Stephen was just starting his podcast and we began a correspondence. I am a big fan.

Thx for the upload. Good Video! One question: 10:39 you said "Check-Bet-Bet is one of the most overbluffed line". But the line was Check-Check-Bet. So you mean: xxb is overbluffed? Or xbb? Or both? (My intuition says both 😉)

Very interesting theme! @8:40 I think AA is a block-bet. Assuming he always bets twopairs and sets on the flop, his most likely river bluff-catchers are going to be AT/A9/A6/A4, which we double-block. So when he calls the river shove it will mostly be with the flush. By block-betting we widen his calling-range to include hands like Tx + we give him a chance to turn hands like Tx/9x/88/77/QJ/KQ/KJ with a club into a bluff.
@saulocostapoker
@saulocostapoker Жыл бұрын
I actually prefer checking now, feel like his range is a bit too polarized into very weak hands that may not call and very strong hands that have me beat. But I agree that blocking is better than shoving!

Hi. Great video. I learn a lot from the way you think about poker. 19:17 you advertise limping exploitable with only premiums from EP and HJ to capture more ev. Is this backed by your data? It seems you are a dataguy, focusing on numbers. Would be interesting to see, as this strategy is not something any other reg on youtube is proclaiming to be good, as far as I can tell at least.

hi saulo great vid, I dont understand that concept of when villain is capped you want to size up your strong hands, for example hand T9hh on 20:35 time on the river... if they are so capped I got it that solver would size up more thin for value but dont people fold too much? isn´t better the opposite I mean to size down to get crying calls from that weak range? To me this feeels like this bet rarely gets called by worse but we still can loose vs sets,straight mby some under/tricky played flush. I would want to bluff a ton vs this river check because of overfold but why to valuebet thin that i dont get.
@saulocostapoker
@saulocostapoker Жыл бұрын
Increasing betsizing and betting frequency with value against a weaker range is the automatic exploit with your range, without making any assumptions about how they will react to your bets. Since they have a weaker range, your good hands increase in equity, which means you can bet larger and more often. Now, if you know that they will fold too much AND you want to play a max exploit strategy, then you should bet bluffs and check thin value. Note however that this requires making an assumption, being correct about it, and also expecting not to get countered when you do it. I don't recommend playing so face up to the point where you only bluff when you bet, except in extreme circumstances where opponents can't and won't do anything about it.
@janruzek5281
@janruzek5281 Жыл бұрын
@@saulocostapoker cool I kind of understand that but from what we know from MDA people massively overfold after probe turn + check river oop so isnt this too extreme? I still can imagine planty of better hands he checks otr scared of flush card comming. Atleast that what i see in my games (5c plo) that people´s betting range otr is extremely polarized and they are just unable to thin valuebet weaker flushes for example so I thought it would be the same in nlh in this spot where a lot of people auto check sets/straights.

When i think about this in game: after i cb flop and get called, i feel is not good holding A of hearts 'cos villain would have folded some A of hearts against B75 OTF so i'm blocking is folding range. Or maybe i have to take into account that A is a GS from villain perspective OTF? What i'm doing wrong? Ty

Hey mate, know you from GTOw 1 y ago or so, when I started to watch all your vids. I really loved what you have done there. Have to be honest about all this. I dont like the way poker shifted into MDA stuff when we can have massive edge against people we dont knwo and we never played against, also dont like when this is used against recreationals. Seems like too much for me and not a good way to keep this game fresh and alive. I get that people just want to make money. And I love content. But when content donest make us think and understand theory, it only says "hey, here people is folding because I have data, use it", I dont know. I think this kind of stuff are gonna hurt this game more than make it better. Just my honest take. Hope you take it the good way (I know most people dont give a fuck about this so I am the 1% probably). Cheers. And ofc I am biass. I am one of those that allways watched timing tells and try to figure it out how people was playing every pot. So I see my self where now a lot of people have this information "for free" and maybe that is anoying for me. Not gonna lie. I hope in the future we can make this game more complex in some way, so to keep it allways closest to a game possible.

Saulo found a way to monetize showing people what works and what doesn’t, and you’re upset because you believe it effects your winrate, and it’s also clearly effecting your ego. Tbh you just sound like a hater trying to disguise your comment as constructive criticism.

We are just mirrors. So maybe you cant have an honest criticism without beeing a hater, so you would see me that way. My intake is honest and simple: do we really need MDA to beat recreationals?. It is getting predatory tbh. Where is the final line to all of this?.

as long as it doesn't kill the game, all is good... but I do get your point. honestly, there's gotta be a balance. it's better to make, say, 3bb/100 than squeeze out that extra 1bb/100 but in 6 months most recreationals leave the game and you now make 0.5bb/100. the game needs recreationals, of course, therefore they can't be losing money at too fast a rate, otherwise they will leave. what regulars and professionals want is to make as much money as possible. if they are too greedy, squeezing out every last bb/100, many recreationals will indeed leave the game.
@_MMWWMM_
@_MMWWMM_ Жыл бұрын
Online poker is already dead, maybe like 5% of regs have winrates higher than 1-2bb/100 at 100nl and higher. The regs like Saulo, and many other known coaches, made their money while you still could and left. Now that the games have dried up selling content and creating a brand is more profitable, whilst also snuffing out any life online poker still had (the poker sites are doing their part too).
