Thanks Saulo. I thought your point about opponents taking a long time before making an action being indicative of a weaker range to be very interesting. I have always assumed it to be the opposite. When people tank for a while before taking an action, I usually assume that makes their range stronger compared to if they make a snap action. I think when they tank for a while, it's more likely to be a strong hand trying to look weak rather than vice-versa. It seems like you strongly believe the opposite to be true.
@saulocostapoker
@saulocostapoker Жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Depends on the situation. I don't think tank always means weak. But I like to think about which types of hands are more likely to take longer to act. When you are playing a trivial spot in a small pot on the turn, it's not very likely that you will tank to raise a strong hand, it's an obvious play for little money and you got plenty of other tables to care about, whereas with certain hands that are not obvious you will have to spend some time to think about it. At the same time, I agree with you that regs can tank a little when they are strong, but would say this is more reserved for river spots when they want to put the entire stack in. The good old "tank to not look so strong" kinda thing. Timing is very nuanced, I don't think a rigid rule can be applied effectively to a wide variety of situations. Hope you enjoyed the video!

Hey nice vid for sure, really good spots. Last spot botom right with 67s, what are we acomplishing by beting small on turn again?. I understand we can capp a litle bit his range to the river but, we have 0% FE I belive? what did he floated flop that now is folding?, I think I am having problems to find a hand. But maybe having a cheap river is enought?.

for the 2 river calls (JsTc & J9hh) on bvb, would you have overcall with non GTO call hands vs these lines? what's your threshold for bluffcatching when you have this kind of timing read?

@saulo, At 11:50 mark why do you say you would rather 4bet from sb vs bb with A5o instead of your current hand A5 suited? What is the logic behind this? Thanks for answering

Witht the 88 at 10:25 you said you like to exploitatively call in vs the bxb line. Is this something you saw is overbluffed in mda? I always fold to bxb because my opponents seem to always have it. I play midstakes on ignition.

hey man thanks for sharing your gameplay! min 03:00 I really dont like the river lead. We are supposed to lead on cards that are fav. for us. We basically dont have any flushes except QKcc and some combos of 45cc and 56cc. Thats exactly 3 combos. He has all the backdoor flushes in the world that obv. barrels turn (45cc-QKcc all possible connectors), still has AA, some 55 and 77 (solver loves to bluff it ott). So this river is actually really bad for you since your AT/AJ/AQs highly reduced its value. Further, i dont see any hands other than your 3 flush combos that want to lead out? And, you stop him blusting off random BD combos (especially QKo) that might realise that your donky donky is just supervalue heavy cos your AJ kind of hands never want to do this...Your thoughts?
@saulocostapoker
@saulocostapoker Жыл бұрын
Hey Tim! I think it can be an OK play vs more passive players. If we assume that IP will miss some value bets and bluffs vs check, then leading out ourselves might be a good idea exploitatively. I think a lot of players will fall into this type of profile in $200zoom games. That being said, shoving instead of leading small would probably be best, and I agree with your analysis that it's probably not a thing in theory, and it seems from what I said in the video I was thinking solver might lead sometimes, which I don't think is true in retrospect. So yeah I don't like my play there, either check or donk shove seems ok to me. Hope you enjoyed the video despite this mistake!
