Alduin looks like the only boss you actually have to beat in a fight all the others involve attacking or finding a object that kills the boss instantly or in 4's case guiding an npc to start a(n admittedly cool) cutscene

He doesn't die. He attains apotheosis through Dracochrysalis by destroying the Stone of a Tower.

Well, there was his appearance in "The Martian" as the Flight Director -- the one guy in the room who had no idea who Elrond was. 😆 In the movie version, the Flight Director accepts an "early retirement" when the Mars mission crew essentially commits mutiny against NASA by deviating from the flight plan in order to perform a "slingshot" (gravity-assist) maneuver so they can return to Mars for a last-ditch rescue attempt of the protagonist. So, Sean Bean's character doesn't die, just his career in NASA....

Wait I think they have a villain for Daggerfall, he was Lord Woodborn? I don't really remember his name but he basically kill the king of Daggerfall and also have a weapon of mass destruction. He died 2 quest before the last quest.

@@omarbarakaeden5608Yes, it's Lord Woodborne. If I remember correctly, he betrayed the King of Daggerfall after discovering the Numidium, and conspired with his succesor to conquer the Iliac Bay. The player must confront him to end the curse placed over the city of Daggerfall, and free the former King's spirit.

I think the final boss should have been Ysmir Wulfharth since it’s his spirit fueling the Mantella

@@AlecEburhard It wouldn't have made much sense, in my opinion. The last section of Daggerfall's main questline is finding the Totem of Tiber Septim and the Mantella, to give one of 6 leaders the power of the Numidium so they can decide the fate of the Iliac Bay. Defeating them would remove the entire purpose of those quests. If I remember correctly, the one whose soul was used to power the Numidium became the Underking, so you would have to break your alliegance to him in order to complete the main questline, which doesn't seem like a choice a lot of people would takr

@@matiasvonbischhoffshausen1307 I was going under the logic that the Underking was Zurin Arctus. Plus unless I remember wrong, the Underking simply wants to break his curse and finally die. So defeating and releasing the soul in the Mantella, being a mix of Zurin and Ysmir, could help with that

Dagoth Ur is my favorite of the main games but if counting Bloodmoon I always liked the gauntlet you have to go through and then decide which aspect of hircine to fight and depending on answer it would be tougher and you'd get different rewards.

Daggerfall has multiple endings, so the budget was spread thin between them. All of them end with the Numdium (powered by the green gem that the player finds) wrecking house and then being destroyed.

Not even a final boss. There is a "villain" in a dude name Woodborne, but he has a generic design and is optional to confront earlier in the story. The final dungeon itself is fairly unique in terms of design and assets, however.

The real final boss was the hellish final dungeon lol it was so long and convoluted to the point that it took me like an hour to an hour and a half worth a guide so I can’t imagine how bad it would be without one

There's an updated version of Arena's final cutscene with clearer music, updated animation, voice acting, and the viking dude is cut out. Both are charming in their own ways though. Daggerfall has a bunch of endings in the same style as the one shown here. None of them are really that rewarding imo. There's a long final dungeon, but as far as climaxes go it's the slowest paced of any TES finale. When Martin finished his dialogue before facing Dagon, I put on the LotR Two Towers Balrog fight theme and hilariously it meshed with the climax very well.

I’d say most of the Daggerfall endings are mediocre but the underking is easily the standout with lids more depth and lore culminating in putting the guy to rest after hundreds of years. Not to mention the fact it’s literally his heart lol it’s kind of hard to argue anyone else deserves it

It’s unfortunate how anticlimactic Daggerfall’s ending looks when it’s arguably the most dramatic. People have faced down Daedric Princes and invasions and false gods and evil wizards constantly in Tamriel, but f**king around with Dragon Breaks and Numidium is the the kind of shit the other games are built off of lol Instead it just looks like the Agent bumps into a crystal, an old woman scolds him, and somebody comes back to life. Lysandus would be rolling in his grave :_(

I wouldn't say Daggerfall has a "Final Boss" as there wasn't really a battle or anything remotely like that. I think Dagon still qualifies as a Final Boss because you have to Protect and Escort Martin so that he may Kill the Final Boss.

I remember being in sixth grade hitting the heart of achulakan with Sunder and it just went straight to that vid. Akulakan didn’t do anything. I had no idea what I did. I didn’t know I beat the whole game.

For final bosses, Alduin kinda suck. So glad Miraak was a better boss. I do miss cutscenes though. Morrowing was okay but especially oblivion had the best ending cutscene. I wish skyrim had an ending cutscene like that.

Ngl oblivion woulda been better if you coulda actually fought mehrunes Dagon Skyrim brought a whole new kinda boss to the plate with alduin which was pretty cool seeing all the endings I came to realize that the dovahkin may actually be the successor to the septims as it is said that tiber septim was also Dragonborn hence is why the septim bloodline carried so much weight heck even Martin after smashing the amulet turned into a dragon but I have no idea if it was because of the amulet or because of his bloodline

It just doesn't fit Oblivion's vision. You aren't the main character yet and the story would probably have ended the same without you. Martin is the main character. You become the main character once you have mantled Sheogorath, or once you become Knight of the Nine, both of which canonically happened after the main story.

Wouldn't surprise me, there was a character in oblivion at skingrad who talked about dragons but they wouldn't be in his lifetime. So that was a little foreshadowing for skyrim.

I played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, and ngl Oblivion is my favourite. Skyrim is good too, ngl, but Oblivion's end almost made me cry. I hope that Elder Scrolls 6 will be better than Skyrim, and ESO. Ngl I think Oblivion deserves more honor than Skyrim.
