Does anyone have an idea of how I can translate these lectures? In my language, the videos were removed due to copyright issues. I'm learning English, but I really want to listen to the lectures and understand them well now. I already have all of Hawking's books. there are no Polish subtitles on KZfaq. Are there subtitles available on the website where you can purchase access to the materials?

If everything is happening of its own, why teach the path to enlightenment? This essentially means that every ego is on a ride that it doesn't know about and believes it is in control. Thus, there is no need for lessons of any kind. There is no need to teach anything to anybody because everything is happening without the consent of any ego. God is causing war and suffering. God is causing ALL CRIMES. Maybe it doesn't matter because God is the receiver of all of those things. This is true if we use his teachings and not logic. Dr. H. has said that the ultimate goal is to get rid of the ego, the mind. Who is getting rid of the ego if there is no I there? Why is there a need to get rid of the ego if everything is happening of its own? I don't care how high up on the scale he is, he is making no sense when he says these things. He is contradicting himself constantly on this matter.

Glad you wrote that. Omg have these questions and concepts been bothering me lol. If everything is happening of its own, it basically renders all the lectures on karma obsolete. In another lecture, he stated that no one is paddling the canoe but us and you become what you have chosen. This is a clear contradiction. As you said, this would make God responsible for everything that has happened in existence. All the rapes, murders, etc happen of their own. I cant really rock with that and it doesn’t make sense. I think that its possible that he may just be talking about the context. God is the ultimate context and everything that happens, happens always within the context that is God and in that sense, all things are sort of happening of their own. It may just be another way of affirming that nothing is possible without God and the infinite field. Would love to see the rest of the lecture or the q&a where he may have clarified this. Love Dr. Hawkins and have learned so much from him and his books, but this one has got me puzzled. Like if this is true, who cares about anything. Nothing matters because God is gonna do what he wants anyway. I don’t think Hawkins himself would agree with that. He may have just done a poor job of explaining a nuanced idea to his audience. Btw, i believe in free will because I think that the ultimate gift God can give his creation is the freedom to do whatever you so choose to do. And his lectures on karma and choice surely imply free will and a personal “decider.” Otherwise, God wrote this, as it definitely wasn’t me, so disregard.

Everything is happening in of it`s own (karma) in the infinite field, you are not responsible for other`s actions (rape, murder and etc) which absolves you from lower levels of consciousness. Whatever path you finally take or be it your ego or enlightenment matters as it tips the scale of whole human consciousness @@Robshishkebab

What the average person is aware of is their personal self. Mind thoughts body emotions sensations. This is ego. You don’t get rid of it. Expansions in consciousness you realize you are the field of awareness/consciousness that all of that other stuff is happening on. It’s like you realize you are a blank piece of paper when all along you though you were the stick figure on the paper. You never realized the paper was present until you do. Hope that helps.

You need to divide ultimate truth. One ness and relative truth as your perceptions are in relative truth so the teacher MUST meet you there or nothing can be heard. As your deepening into self occurs there will be less paradox until finally you can silently see and then non of the words make sense but are understood as pointers also. A tool to undo the tool 😆

You are saying he has a choice to teach the ignorant of what they are… what they actually are. Your thoughts are the opposite of what he’s teaching.
