Yes! This is what i feel the entire gameplay! He is such a lone wolf, i kinda like that nanba and the others called him out for being shoulder everything alone. Also makes the party chats and table talks so enjoyable when Kiryu's involved Can't blame the man though, everyone he knew is either dead or in prison

Kiryu isn’t meant to be a perfect paragon of strength and brutality, and too many people ignore that. He has trouble thinking things through and always ends up hurting people he cares about because he lets that same attachment blind him to their love for him. It’s always been a flaw since the first game. He’s not perfect, and he isn’t meant to be. Kiryu being confronted throughout Infinite Wealth for always trying to shoulder the world by himself is one of my favorite aspects.

@@oliverolson5243Not 1v1 this time. Akiyama at the end of 5 was about on the same level of Kiryu in 1. Kiryu now is about at the same level as he was in 1 but with less power and more technique. Akiyama has gotten stronger since the last time we’ve seen him fight.

@@oliverolson5243 Kiryu unironically has worse stamina than Akiyama now (in battle anyway). Akiyama is still physically and mentally healthy as he hasn't gone through a wringer like Kiryu and the Jimas did, only having to fold from Ryo Aoki's 3K Plan and was pissed he was kept out of the loop of Kiryu's circumstances at worst. Also, he's the only combatant who is the most familiar with Kiryu's fighting style besides the Jimas, so he knows what he's up against and can attack accordingly.

After 7, Aoki being outed as a giant crook who almost took the two largest national offices at once definitely would have smashed the CLP to pieces. You’d have members resigning and bailing left and right. After something like that, you’d be putting out fires constantly for years on end trying to keep the shadow organization managing that same party from being outed too. Everything would have been hanging in the balance after 2019, so the Daidoji being so short on hands is pretty fitting. Do I think it was a bit much having them completely absent from Infinite Wealth? Definitely. But do I think it has good reasoning behind it? Yes. Their ending after Infinite Wealth was left very open-ended, so whether or not they completely dissolved after the mention on Tatara’s stream or regained power after the fiasco likely hindered their opposition is going to be a mystery until 9. Regardless, with one of the main points of the conflict taking place overseas, I can understand why nobody was around to fly to Hawaii while their Japan operations remained their focus. In the end, they’re a Japanese government organization, so they don’t actually have jurisdiction in the US.

If I remember it right the faction were actually mentioned by Ebina when he said something about the 2nd dissolution, so it at least confirms that the Ryudo family is as significant as the Yomei Alliance to be mentioned at the same wavelength. Other than that we got nothing.

Late comment, the pace does ultimately depend on you, just that the pacing of the memories/bucket/life links list only goes really consistent post-game (I mean, by not having be locked off for a lil while for each of the side content). However, I agree with you, doing the side content while still playing is kind of the better approach.

Yeah it felt sloppy, so many of them boil down to him seeing people miss him then nothing after that, it hurts seeing them be this close to him but he just doesn't commit and come clean because of the damn Daidoji plot, why they decided to write him into a situation with such a strict government agency is beyond me, it's hurt almost everything with him aside from Gaiden's ending. The secret deal was actively preventing character growth because he can just refuse to do anything with that setup, if he should ever man up and come to terms with how much his self sacrificial bullshit hurts his loved ones he can just refuse it because the agency won't allow it and could kill him. The only reason we got the scenes of worth was because Akiyama forced his hand and Date already knew. The worst thing is that the ending of the game does give me what I want, a man finally willing to stop running and burden himself with everything but we just don't get to see it fully do we? It's just a promise of growth but we won't see the outcome of it, I'm so disappointed man.

Well, he got treatment and even used his ACTUAL name, and his will to live came back, I'm guessing the next game will be his actual last hurrah, this game is just kind of a "heads-up" for Kiryu's upcoming closure. Cause this one is def not their last for Kiryu.

Personally I'd hope for him to no longer be playable in the next game. He could still be part of the plot, but as an NPC hanging out at the orphanage as a quest hub, maybe doing some Komaki training for Ichiban

I played the game in chronological order, which means theres no dub for Yakuza 0-6. I’ve gotten used to the Japanese cast, and I normally record in the audio that is more popular, which is Japanese in this case. I do play the Judgment series in dub though

It's simple. The JP dub is vastly superior. The only downside to the JP dub is the failed Engrish attempts with Tomi and Bryce to name a few. A bunch of the English VAs sound like they are trying too hard or just don't like sound like how the character looks.
