In Canada just living together for 6 months makes it to where they nail you under common law. I literally took myself out of the dating pool all together cause all you end up doing is giving a lot of your build wealth away to ex's. Don't get me started on being a male in Canada and the justice system for child support/visitation rights and whatnot. I'm now 50 and although by nature it's hard to stay 100% away from females,I know it's the right choice as for now I can actually enjoy some of the fruits of my labour.

I am with you. As a widower at 55, and had a great married. I did ask the universe for a young, pretty, healthy, wealthy lady into my life. I do love real ladies. The age gap is 42 to approx 48. This will not be a free drive. She will meet me at my level. I am ok with most women passing by without stopping. I am only interested in the ones that interest me. Btw, I am the am. I am ok being single /staying single.

It started long ago, not just yesterday. I am 6'4" aloof charismatic buff guy (what kids call Chad these days) and yet even I had my problems getting really hot women (that aren't a headache) even back in the 90s. After I embraced the whole "sigma male / semen retention" concept and quit pron and chasing women - (after the expected testosterone overload spike was over) I noticed a gradual urge recession to have anything to do with women at all and so I quit dating altogether over a decade ago. Never been happier. I could only imagine, how worse women and dating have become since the introduction of Instagram.

👍 Great idea! It should be mandatory for high school men to learn about family court. I remember being an LTR for 7 years. In the beginning she kept hounding me to get married. I stood my ground as Rich says. It's saved me a lot of grief when it ended. If you're married or are living with your LTR and you smell the end coming soon they go off of your last two years of income. Let's just say I went fishing instead of going to work the last two years of my LTR. Hella cheaper and more fun

Most women are not able to explain their own behavior, because this will require her to admit the ugly side of a woman (herself). And they all need to protect that image, they all know about the ugly, and yet they all collectively protect the image. Even a mother will elect to protect the image over telling her son the truth. Most men are not aware of the game because of the early indoctrination. Some grow up and notice the conflict between the reality and what they are told and get unplugged. Majority fight back because the reality is too painful to accept. And some unplug and are repulsed by the truth that they what nothing to do with women from that point forward. Personally, I like the box . . . so I have sharpened my skill to get what I need from women, just as they have learned how to get the most out of men. We have fun, and when the fun is over I go to the next fun ride. I make sure I always have abundance, just as she does and keep my options open. If she has social media and dudes are sliding into her DM, I am open to see other women. I don't even provide explanation of my requirements anymore, I just do what I want to do. If she want's commitment she will have to arrive at my conclusion by herself, else she going to be an PITA at some point.

I’ve always said the State should not be involved with marriage at all. The State should always treat each individual as an individual. If couples want to “marry” with vows, etc. due to their religious or ethical beliefs, fine, but as far as the State is concerned they are still two individuals. Same with tax laws, social security benefits and other State run involvement with citizens finances-treat everyone as an individual, regardless of the private vows they might mutually agree to.

Men, it's simple: "Adapt OR Die" Women in the west have changed and will keep changing. Marriage was a construct that was predicated that Men and Women had different roles and responsibilities in society, if we are to abolish the roles setup - the notion of marriage should be abolished too. If you are a man in the west and you crave marriage, your options are simple: look for a traditional wife in the west who actually believes in the institution of marriage as it was setup originally (not the hollywood version), and if you can't find one start looking outside of the west. if you are a man who just wants a box, you will have to adapt to what a modern woman wants in exchange for the box (even if it's superficial). Just as women put on a full regalia of a facade (makeup, nails, fake body parts, hills . . .) - a man will need to do the same in personality and looks (does not have to be real, just as it's not real on the other end). And if you are a man who is looking for LTR . . . good luck. Because you will always be a comparison to all the previous visitors, and future possibilities. So unless you have an abundance and she knows that it is easer for you to replace her vs her find a replacement for you . . . it will be a matter of time.

I think you may be on to something by having our young men sit in on divorce proceedings. I’ve been divorced for about two years after 13 years married then 18 months of divorce court hell should simply because she decided one day she was no longer happy. I loved being married and still have a desire to meet someone. however after going through it and knowing how much power you give the government to meddle in your life i just cannot reconcile it. There is simply no incentive for government to change family law so I don’t see it ever changing.

Go do things that give you satisfaction, for yourself. If you are adamant in finding decent women that have higher chances of being modest and not 304s, try book clubs or libraries. Well, I got to see my dad get divorced raped to Kingdom come he lost $250,000 plus half of this pension over like the five or six years it took for him to get divorced and my mother was a narcissistic butt hole and she did literally every single trick in the book to screw my father over me and my three sisters the only thing she didn’t do was max out the credit card, so I was shocked that she didn’t I even stopped her from killing my dad’s dog by kidnapping the dog, and since it was a marital asset, she couldn’t actually get him in trouble for that one. I have no doubt that she would’ve done it. In fact, she would’ve killed all of us if she could’ve and I’m not exaggerating about that so I am simply not dumb enough to get married. Ignorance is a choice with the Internet today, but it is something to see it first hand invite the government into my life. More than they already are yes, screw that 10 waste Sunday. Not to long ago I met a lady and we had the most incredible romantic time. I thought we were going to be together forever. Then about a week later right out of the blue, she leaves me a John deer letter. So I called her up and she gave me a bunch of crap about me not listening to her enough or something,I mean I don't know I really wasn't paying attention. I think women are also lying to men about how faithfulness in a relationship is important to them. Women chase the top 10 percent of men and are surprised that these men have options, If these women wanted loyalty, they would date a guy who's a carpenter, electrician, mechanics, those guys work long hours and are to tired to go out and cheat and they make good money. They are those masculine men women are looking for but it's not exciting enough. Women have it in their minds that a famous actor, rapper or athlete is going to be with just them. The women are chasing after one percent of men that 99 percent of women want. That man going to have a lot of women to choose from. It's just laughable that women are surprised at this every time. It's not up to her anymore to determine how faithful he is. We see this all the time on social media about how some famous guy will date a girl for a while and then the girl is on instagram or tik-tok complaining why he broke up with her or just used her for sex. It's a running joke in pop-culture that Leonardo Dicaprio only dates women until their 25. This joke wouldn't exist if women weren't surprised or annoyed by it.

Marriage today is about inviting the government into your relationship. That's true but it isn't anything new. Community property laws and no fault divorce have been around for decades. What is new is that marriages today are treated as entirely disposable. Secular more than religious unions, but even the religious unions are seeing an increasing number of failed marriages. The culture today is all about narcissism on steroids - Look at me! My happiness and fulfillment are the only things that matter. There is no God so I'll make myself God; My needs, wants, entitlements, and petty desires always come first; Everyone else comes second. This is no longer a culture conducive to traditional marriage. If you are a man who has his life together and his finances in order, I just don't see the wisdom of getting married today. Costs outweigh benefits and risks outweigh returns. Perhaps you want children. Understandable. And children do best within a marriage. But understand the costs and risks involved with the decision to have those children. And do everything you can to mitigate those risks. Women showing red or even yellow flags should be avoided at all cost. Don't look the other way. Don't think she'll change just because of your love and financial support. Don't buy a used Corolla thinking you'll turn her into a pristine Bentley. Don't assess her on just being a wife. Can you see her as the future mother of your children?

Yes. Many states have common law marriage. Even if not legally married, you could be considered married according to common law marriage. Then, all the laws would apply to it. So co-habitation is not a safe option.

Yes. Many states also have palimony. Even if not married, if you live together, you would have to pay if you make more than her. And assets could also be divided. And there is always child support if you have children together.

Everything I learned regarding women and relationships growing up in childhood, teens, college, 20's, even 30's was wrong. (I grew up around men who didn't know better, so they passed on terrible ideology re women.) Be nice, treat them well, chase them, etc---all a waste of time and energy. Young, attractive women have a thousand suitors, so you will never be enough or do enough---there's always somebody else next on her list. And 80% of guys below age 30 get zero interest from 80% of women.

Good points, however,most women have the dream of thier wedding day. Who you particularly are as an individual man is often a secondary consideration. Women are there for their own “right reasons” they deem as being right. Even if it’s not about a man’s money, it is often about the wedding day itself, and just being legally married at all. There is pressure from family and friends. It so often doesn’t even really have a lot to do with the groom, who he is, (if he is good enough with a good job and willing, often he will do) or it’s not even all about the “relationship”. For most women, it’s about getting that marriage status by a certain point (often around 27-30, the wall, thanks Rollo) Even if they do not necessarily consciously realize it.
