I modded mine. With a push of a button the driver's side doors open up, a ramp folds out, the floor has been lowered to fit my wheelchair, a locking system clicks my wheelchair in place, the ramp folds up, doors shut and I drive with hand controls. I love seeing other element owner's expressions when they see it. I'ts a 2011 I bought new, had the conversion done and I have put 215,000 miles on it so far.

there's a really cool multiple switch avail on Amazon or eBay with a box for relays under the hood, plus stickers to label by location.

I can do a basic video on the headlight diy retrofit, i took a few videos from when i did it many years ago. The wiring is honestly not really presentable at the moment since that was my last project to clean up all the wires and look pretty. haha Stay tuned and thanks for watching.

Love this intro guide to what's possible modding! I am a new elemwnt (and car) owner, so just started watching. Will go back and likely learn a lot, but will mention the rear view mirror camera, back up camera and sensors will be high on my list. But the idea of messing with drills and electrical is downright scary! Ill search to see if you have an intro to drill, wiring and electric. :)

how did you do the mirror puddle lights? sweet E, my buddy is tricking his out and so far he's got all the big things like lift kit and brush guards, roof rack etc.. next big thing is a Merc racing 1320 supercharger but after that it's all electronics

Also... I think what the E world needs now is remote controlled under carriage perimeter movement/heat sensors. With really, really big obnoxious deafening sounds when they go off. If a foot goes under the body.. your car has a rape whistle.

Ok do you have an extra battery for all these lights? How are all theses wired so when you turn them in you don’t kill your battery. I like what you did with the inside led lights in the back. It does get dark back there. Can you share in an email how you set those up?

235 70 17 eh... that's a 30" tire! what is the actual offset now with the 30.. spacers? and how do spacers end up shortening your bolts? do you need to replace the bolts or something?

Yea it fills up the wheel well perfectly. I can't remember the actual offset anymore. Yes definitely using longer bolts. Note I did have to shaved off a bit of the inner wheel well to fix a bit of rubbing with the front wheels fully locked.

It's a 235/70/17 on kumho crugens. Tires are quiet on the road with confidence in the snow. I would recommend them if you want just a set of year round tires.

Hello can you tell me where you purchased your side mirror shields from? I bought a cheap pair from e-bay after seeing your video but they are flimsy and sag and broke in very short time. The ones you have on your Element look like they are high quality. Thank you and great videos. Also are you on the Honda Element Owners Club forum?

Hey I got mine off ebay as well. They last a few years and then I just replace them. Cheap enough to replace anyways. Just order a bunch at a time from eBay.

Mine are OEM honda. And yes you can open the rear windows even with the rain gurads.

I had a bit of rubbing when front wheels were fully locked. I shaved off the parts (not important) that were in the way. I feel like if it was lifted even just a bit you won't need do any work.

How’d you relocate your front license plate? Is it the factory frame and you modified it?

Hey most of them just run from the engine bay along the top part of the hood (there is a small channel) and through the outside of the front door hinge into driver side under the steering wheel.

How did the spacers affect the ride? Do you see ANY difference? I've been told that this adds a mild vibration or shuttering at certain speeds. What has your experience been? Thanks so much!! Hey the spacers shouldn't cause any vibrations unless they were installed incorrectly. I've had mine on for many years now without any issues. Thank you for watching!

honestly most of what i've done were cheap parts off eBay and amazon which i DIY myself to make it work. This was the goal of the build as my fun project. It really isn't a lot of money spent...

Whats your mpg looking like with that tire and rim setup. Also has your odometer reading changed? Hopefully you understand what I mean. 😅

It didn't change much to be honest. Getting around 250 miles to a tank but mind you I live in the city so a lot of stop and go traffic. Odometer still pretty close to accurate but I look at the GPS speed reading on my rear view mirror camera anyways since it's more accurate.

@@lifewithabox thanks brotha. I guess I might just need a tuneup. Because Im running 235/70/16 and I noticed my mpg suffer quit a bit. And my odometer seems to catch miles quicker.

@@jmjosemora16 what were you getting before? I've had my current wheel setup forever so i honestly don't even remember what i got with stock wheels. Not sure if a tuneup will help much. check your air filter? =P you can also try putting the stocks back on and see if the issue are the wheels or maybe something else.

@@lifewithabox before I was getting about 320 miles to the tank and now it looks to be around 250 give or take. I had already replaced the filter. I mite just have to check out the spark plugs.

@@lifewithabox what kind of wheel spacers are you running. And how has it held up for you. Im thinking of running some myself but I am kinda on the fence about it due to people saying they are not safe.
