Remember being 4 or 5 years old getting sent to the corner of the room in kindergarten for singing Family Tradition. My daddy turned me onto the outlaw Era music and I'm 44 years old still listening and missing my dad everyday.

One of my favorite traits of the singer songwriters that I love is a sense of humor. Hank Jr clearly has it as did his father.

The fact that Hank Jr and Waylon were both tuned up out of their minds on coke at this point makes it funnier for some reason. They eventually “rowdy’d all down” and are all geniuses in my book.

This music never goes away. It's like wine, it gets better with age.

Love this video. I discovered Hank’s music in 1982 when I was 19, and he is my all-time favorite performer and entertainer, by far. My curiosity was getting the best of me as I was trying to figure out where this clip came from. I did a little research, and it seems it’s from a 1984 show called Waylon Jennings and Friends. There were reportedly eight parts/episodes. There’s a KZfaq channel called Angie Rockgiirl on which she has posted them. I’m sure someone will let me know if my information is incorrect, so I apologize in advance. I just felt that since I was so curious about it, I figured that there are others wondering, as well.

Imagine sitting around with those guys and being the common thread among them all.?.?.? Yeah, a lot of them are close friends but usually with one or two of the others. Hank Jr. is tight with all of them. Hank Jr. is the most well rounded C&W, entertainer in history. Blues, Country, Rock......whatever it is, he excels at it all. Plus, he's a real American patriot. Gotta love that guy !!!!!!!!!!!!

When I go over to my Mom's house next door to bring her dinner every night we always listen to Hank!! we love him !!
