This is why Cook is one of my favorite characters. Most people see him as an asshole, who just parties. But he has such a good heart. After all that shit he loved Effy more than himself and put her needs first. He's just a broken guy inside who is lost and searching for love

Honestly, I just want to find a “Cook” and give him all the love he wants and deserves.

I hate when people compare him to Tony. Cook is nothing like Tony. Tony was a sociopath, Cook wasn’t. He actually cared for people, although he pretended he did not. He acted like an asshole because no one taught him how to love, yet he proved many times that he was a good guy. Even after Effy used him he still cared about her and told Freddie to not leave her.

I always loved Cook he's such a heartbreaking character to see, he's a character who went through hell and is still carrying it all cause he doesn't know any better

the show was a bit of a donkey but when it's shown like this, you really want to go back and watch it again. Every guy should have a James Cook to call on, and every girl should have a James Cook to fall for.

This video absolutely breaks my heart.. I loved ceffy so much. I truly wanted cook to end up with her. I liked freffy too but just thought cook was better with her. he truly did deserve her. because he was just as broken as she was. and they could've saved each other from themselves. it's truly heartbreaking to see how badly cook hurt over her. he loved her so much and effy just fucked around with his feelings just so she could distract herself from Freddie. cook was just a distraction for her. she used him that's the worst part. Although I didn't like cook's dad he was right about one thing "you're gonna snap that boys heart in two." And that's exactly what she did! I love effy she's always been my favorite character. But I hated her for what she did to cook he didn't deserve that. anyway sorry for the rant. Lol I just really love skins. I loved this video so much! I love the coloring and the editing in this. I can tell you worked hard on this. Because it's amazing I liked it :)

10 years ago, I used to feel bad for Cook. Now I realize I am Cook.

This is the best Cook video by far! I mean it's also about Effy and Freddie but more about how Cook has to manage with the fact that the only girl he has ever loved chose his best friend and how he also has to support his friend (almost brother) in his struggling days, when effy cut herself and suffered from depression, and be a true friend which he is actually. It's too complicated and twisted so that's why I will always find this trio the most inspiring out of all the phenomenal series! And if after all this pain Cook has to deal with and accept the pain of his two the most closest people someone says he's not the strongest and the most brilliant character, I will rip his heart out. James Cook is the best. I literally cry every time I watch this! And you made a huge job on this. Talented. Thank you. Omg, I'm sorry I'm too emotional about this show sometimes).

Youth can be a time that tears you apart. You stop simply living in the world, you observe it, you try to understand it, you try to understand people,you realise things. You have to deal with your emotions and try to fit them into this world you are constantly analyzing. You realise that whenever you try to change yourself or others, the true self sticks. You learn to give up, for there are things that are meant to be... It's tough but it is real, pure and looking back on it, beautiful.

Almost forgot how intense these series was. Cook is my all time favourite character of skins. God damn i miss that show. very good edit, james cook is my favorite skins character, he had a good development and is someone complex since you love him and hate him at the same time, he is not a character of one color, a very sad family story having parents who don't they love him and having bad influences with his uncle, his behavior was never very acceptable or justifiable but understanding how damaged he is mentally one comes to understand him, I think he is a good person since he had very good gestures but the bad ones he had made is damned forever, Cook had the saddest ending of all, being completely alone, without friends or family at the end of rise, walking towards nothingness itself, psychologically more shattered than before, it's a shame how it all ended for him, of Anyway, I will always remember him as the best skins character and of course I will also remember him as the bravest of all, an impeccable job by the writers with James Cook and also by the actor Jack himself.
