My favourite moment in this scene is the little breath Cook takes before walking into the common room. As if he’s having to take a moment to collect himself and put on the mask he’s been using to hide all this emotional trauma. Jack O’Connell is an exceptional actor.

I loved this episode, but it did raise a few questions - how come Cook gets sent to prison for punching someone's lights out, yet Effy can inflict a similar injury on Katie with no repercussions? And the fact that Cook manages to escape from prison so easily in the following episode sends out a mixed message.

Cook was one of if not the best Skins character ever. The actor who played him was tremendous.

Cook is really complex And I hated the fact they grabbed him and sprayed stuff in his face like a animal, like wtf he has feelings he’s a human, like yeah he’s aggressive but there’s reasons why he acts the way he does. There’s no need to judge him so fast.

I seriously hate a large part of skins for this reason, 0 happy endings I hate but love all the characters for what they did. I wish Freddie didn’t fight for Effy, as well as Cook. They both deserved better and suddenly when Effy decided to be with Freddie, she fell into a psychotic/depressive episode because she was NOT ready for love. As someone with bpd, doctors would advise my mom not to let me get into relationships because it messes with your mind as well can harm your partner Effy is a good person deep down but she really needed to get help and her mom neglected her well being. She didn’t just need to be hospitalized but get actual therapy consistently. But the system is terrible in the UK, and it’s just sad no one could’ve gotten any better and I know that’s the point of the series but it’s just sad
