I am surprisingly shocked this video only roughly has 110,000 views; and the channel only has about 450k subscribers. The quality of the video, the in-depth perspectives in reviewing the car, and the professionalism of the reviewer is top-notch and is far better than many other channels. Autogeguhl definitely deserves more recognition.

Another great review Thomas - very informative and I agree that Riverside blue and ivory white interior is a stunning combination, unfortunately it appears the former no longer a standard colour for 2022 model year. I know it's not possible (and would be very boring!) to cover the specification for every region but for info, in the UK adaptive air suspension is standard on the base Sport and M Sport 3.0 litre variants while M Sport adaptive suspension is standard on the 4.0 litre M variants i.e. there is no vanilla "conventional" adaptive (non-air) suspension offered in the UK - it's either air or M Sport. In the end I opted for an X6 3.0D with laser lights and carbon interior trim! Thanks.

Excellent edit. Test car colour combination - nice! You get a blank switch if you haven't optioned air suspension? I don't like blank switches! Especially on such expensive optioned cars. At 32:42 yes you can also press on in a Transporter! Atmospheric mist in the excellent driving part with great commentary - much enjoyed. Many thanks Thomas and Jonas.

No, sorry Thomas, I thought it looked like a blank switch or something at 13:46, but it might have been a reflection! However at 42:32 we see some blank area - so perhaps not a blank switch but a small blank panel! Just a small quality thing, like bonnet struts, blank switches, felt lining inside door pockets, wobbly centre console, door closing sound, frameless interior mirror! But still don't like blank switches on an expensive car! Many thanks Team - great Review.

I drove my 2020 X6 M50i home from the dealer in February, pulled into the garage and it burst into 🔥 flames. I kid you not. It set fire to my house and it’ll be almost a year to rebuild my house.

Thomas i love your videos i just cant understand ,how the hell you find this so tight Im 192 cm tall 103 kilos and i find myself comftable in this car in the back , even in my wifes x4 when im not fully upright i have enough space :) , man nobody sits so straight in real world :)

It’s on it’s 3rd gen and has many copycats. If you don’t like it , don’t buy it. Why should you care what others want? If something doesn’t sell, it won’t be sold.

As always, great review! As for the X6... not so great. BMW’s styling direction seems very confused at the moment. Much of the styling cues could be from Kia or Toyota, and the brands desirability continue to decline IMO.

I just purchased an X5 M50i, solely because I need the cargo compartment for my large dog, but you can't go wrong with either choice. Phenomenal vehicles. The X6 is just as beautiful, just different. The Harman Kardon stereo is NOT the top level stereo. That honor goes to to 20-speaker, 1500 watt Bowers & Wilkins stereo, which was clearly pictured during the brief portion of this segment with the Mperformance parts fitted X6 (speakers are illuminated with stainless steel grills). I like this video very much. However, as a supposedly "non-biased" review, perhaps you can mention the lack of animal skin alternatives..... once..... but you mentioned it like 4 times. Your bias was showing. Incidentally, you CAN get a sensa-tec interior, you just can't get it on the high-end M50i. Considering you also mentioned multiple times about the fuel consumption (biased??), that you would choose the 6 cylinder 40i model.... then you won't have a problem fitting the interior with sensa-tec. People buy this model BECAUSE they want the performance. We understand fuel consumption will be higher. We are willing to accept that. It would be nice if you didn't express how impressed you were with the performance, only to turn around and "shame" people at the end of the video for buying a high fuel consumption vehicle.... it comes across as hypocritical.... and biased. Otherwise, excellent video. "Stiffier"..... lol :)

BMW told me that you cannot get Sensatec for the X6 overall. Where did you find sensatec option in the all-new X6? Yes I am biased towards loving animals and caring about lives of innocent beings. Guilty. And yes I am also biased towards vehicles that consume less fuel because I always think about advantages for the everyday driver/customer. I like it when vehicles are sporty but consume less fuel. Guilty. Feel free to judge me for both! I present all the pros and the cons of every vehicle. That belongs to that.

Oh and I think that your "shame" impression is exactly the problem you have with me and it is a quite common phenomenon when anyone mentions anything slightly eco-friendly (google cognitive dissonance). I just say what is happening and what manufacturers do and how the vehicles behave. I dont intend to put shame on anyone, I just give information that you as a customer decide what you want to do.

This was the first video I've watched of yours, and I was taken back by the "non-biased" disclaimer, only to be followed with statements that were clearly biased. It has nothing to do with cognitive dissonance. It has to do with the fact that you promised your viewers a non-biased review, but did not provide one. I'm not "upset" or "aggressive" toward you. Most videos on youtube are biased. That's perfectly okay, so long as you don't preface the video with the promise of non-biased automotive journalism. It really was a good review. My statement was not to complain at all.

the issue when thinking of buying a BMW X5 or X6 is that they change the model every 5 years! so the model's lifetime is 2 years less than the competitors, even Hyundai doesn't do it this fast!

Great review! Very detailed and informative! The X6 is a different designed vehicle that will still appeal to a lot of people. Like any designed vehicle, it comes down to your personal preference. You can not like a the vehicle’s design, but see it later in person (maybe the color, wheels) and it doesn’t look as bad as thought. Again, BMW has something for everyone. Just my opinion. Thomas: I’m tall like yourself (6’3, 195). I like the X6 design but I have to test the seating & legroom. How comfortable were you in the X6?

My god those kidney grills are getting WAY TOO BIG!!! I saw some pics of the front of the next M4 and laughed.... HORRIBLE! We are living in the times of fake news, and fake vents (and big front grills like rapper gold chains.) These designers need Thomas to oversee them, like a teacher who's willing to hit their hands with a stick... "no no no! You're done now, it doesn't need fake vents thank you! Go outside and play now!" says Thomas the teacher.
