My opinion after playing them on beta: Thornbloom: Pyro and Reaper 1/10 (straight unplayable), Ranger 5/10, Berk 4/10. Generally underwhelming upgrade. You pay 6 gold and lose 1 slot for 30% chance of empower and +7 health for every empower on a weapon that saw little play. To make it work you basically have to have considerable amount of empower aside of Whip and only Berk and Ranger can do that. It's more of a defensive weapon than offensive despite empower gain and a support weapon rather than a core weapon. In Ranger works with hybrid Egg and Ivy comp as in video (still you need to make it better) and that's it. In Berk it's more complicated cuz of alternatives. Serpent Staff: Pyro and Berk 2/10, Ranger 6/10, Reaper 7/10. Works decently but there is very little comps that can utilize its potential. In Ranger is suprisingly good due to crit dmg and extra scaling that way while in Reaper obviously due to Dagger, poison in general and Scythe. The problem with Ranger is there is no good comp for it apart from maybe Ivy as putting it on gloves is simply inferior version to lamp Critwood/Falcon comp. To make it worth you have to pick Ivy and Ivy comps are quite shop rng, match-up dependant and relatively hard to navigate. In Reaper works well with Poison Goob comps on Dagger but as always these are inferior to DSaber potion comps. Problem here though is inability to put Staff both on Goob and under the Scythe which is a big downside. Spike Staff: 9,5/10. Almost broken. Works well in plethora of Berk comps especially in Hammer Shaman, Claws Deer comps and Busted Blade ones. Definitely needs nerfing cuz it's too strong. King Crown: depends mostly whether you have high gems and whether your comp uses Gems. For these comps that don't use gems apart from maybe the cheapest it's basically 1/10 as you losing value generator and 3 gold for 1 extra gem slot and +50% on 2x gems. However some comps use high lvl gems and there it's around 5/10. The best use is suprisingly in Reaper Poison builds for crystals (+11) and in Shaman BR big weapon comps where you can get 2x11 dmg mitigation. There and only there I would give it 6/10. Overall: 4/10. King Goobert: it really looks better on paper than it is in reality. First problem with that item is cost which is 23 gold. That's a lot and on top you have to roll with King Crown which if you go for King probably will be that 1/10 or 2/10 item. It means that you should make King immediately within 2 rounds which is annoying factor. Moreover crown comes late so most likely scenario is you will be rocking with basic Goob for a longer period of time which again in some situations is considerable downside. Another factor which makes it weaker in reality than it looks is activators setup. Yeah it's 6 activators but in majority of cases you will be losing effectivnes of these activators due to positioning so it's like 5,5 and probably you will lose as well a little bit of potential from other items due to forced positioning (especially orbs). Finally let's compare it to Ligh Goob: it's 5 gold more, 1 more turn of setup, you lose value generator and you gain crown effect, +5 heal, 1,5 more activator, buff protection and 2 gem slots for no blind effect. In my opinion in most cases it's a bad trade because blind effect is extremaly valuable. Obviously sth like Unhealing is an exception as it utilizes gem slots and crown effect very well and extra healing is also dmg. Lastly to make it fully work you have to have a comp that secures better scaling than your opponent and has an ability to secure activations (f.e dragons and poison builds don't have that). This limits it's usefullness. Overall 6/10. In many cases it's a trap but there are builds where it can be really good (Unhealing, Pyro and Berk Egg, Reaper Hammer on Nocturnal, some defensive comps with Tim) and you can get it with crown on sale which probably will be the main way of obtaining it (similarly to making light goob in comps that not fully support it). Without sale you need to always ask yourself a question: is it really better in my comp than Light Goob? The answer most often is "no". Update in general (assuming no last minute changes): 4/10. Pretty bad one. Berk staff is totally unbalanced and will dominate the game and new items are not generally good items (like Wolp or Heart) but items that can fit well and be strong only in very specific builds. Take for example Pyro: it got literally 1 playable item this patch (King) which is also very conditional. Moreover you need to ask yourself a question: are those builds strong enough that are worth chasing with added support? In case of Bloom, Crown the answer is probably not. King maybe and Staff probably only in Reaper though Ranger is a tricky one cuz the whole situation around Clover is fu**** up. With that much waiting I'm disappointed. It should be better. For people who dislike Berk in general it's probably the best bet to play now and simply wait out update till patch comes. It definitely will be worse for you. For Berk lovers though it's Christmas time :D

I agree, right now my fav item is servant staff because of the extra survivability you gain from the poison with crystals. I don’t think it’s super duper good but it’s fun to use atleast. I tried to min max it with poison going and serpent with stone gloves and moon shield. Andddddd got rolled lmao. Surprisingly I didn’t really find spiked collar to be nutty. But then again I played it with pets so maybe I gotta try out great sword and hammer. But yeah they should balance some things, not sure how their gonna do it but it’s gotta happen

@@SmojoWasTaken Berk Staff is nutty as hell which for me is especially bad as my favorite Berk build was Falcon on Anvil with Hammer :p But because of Staff this is bad build now as Staff in Shaman > Falcon with Anvil by large amount. Pets indeed aren't the way. My strongest was with Hammer (btw. it's melee weapon so works with vamp xd) but any of those 3 is super strong. Yeah Servant is good in Reaper but not in all poison builds. Though as you say it's not a powerhouse which I find totally fine. Hard to make poison weapon for all classes and if it's mainly for one (Ranger as I said I'm not totally convinced) it shouldn't be nutty. 7/10 I find good balance for mainly 1 class weapon in archetype that is popular... 9,5 is BS xd The worst part about Staff is that it can't be bad under almost any circumstances cuz in worst case buffs itself and some other weapon by +2 and Hammer by +4 while being low stamina usage. Plus few spikes in BR. It's already okay. Simply slam dunk weapon in anything that isn't Egg. No risk means it will be played by everybody and I hate no variety in BB ;/

Thanks for the comment, I was looking for someone that test them and talk about its impressions. Currently, Im not playing the game but i eventually watch somegameplays and i have the same feelings about new items. Tbh i don't like too much berserker, i think it is an overpowered class and with that new staff would be worst. I'm a huge fan of reaper mana and unhealling builds. The new staff comes with a nice design but i still feel is just decent. I was really wondering if having two staffs (or one plus a dark saber) with a bunch of mana orbs/moonshield and crown could work but i'm still doubting about its place on meta. Out of that i think cauldron is little by little finding a way to be on meta playstyle.

@@justanothermuffingamer9410 Cauldron is the second most picked unique in Reaper so it has some place in the meta already. However it faces the same problem as Snake and Nocturnal which is low winrate. But honestly I think relatively large part of that issue comes out of picking wrong builds. Thirstes with Cauldron are maybe slightly weak initially but overall they are very strong and I don't see them at all. It's mostly some variation of magic torch and 1x Thirst or Unhealing at best. People usually prefer to play it safe and Cauldron in my opinion is a rather all in unique so playstyle probably is a factor that lowers a little its stats. It should be a meta player if you know what you are doing. Yeah Staff is tricky. For me it just doesn't work well with DSaber/s because DSabers are what I call "fast poison" and Staff is a "slow poison" build. With DSabers you aim for offense and with slow poison builds you aim rather for defense. They can be used together obviously but you never extract the most out of them. However 2xStaff is good if you have the mana and stamina. Mana though is a problem as you still should pick the dagger. 8 per 1,8s+speeding up is A LOT. I didn't manage to generate so much mana so I can't tell how good it is in full capacity. Should be really good but idk how often you can count on generating that much mana while having dagger. Crown probably is out of question with double staff cuz you won't get that much mana. Survivability should be probably crystals. With Berk I agree :D Maybe there isn't (yet) anything broken apart from stun runes in stunlock but Berk has so many good builds, much more than other classes. Also it's really tough to screw him up and compared to Reaper or Pyro it's much easier to play with most builds.
