Look how Sabalenka struggled to make a QF at GS. She did it only being #4 in the world! And now she's 2x AO champion!

Bencic could have done so much more damage in Grand Slams! Ofc her career is already impressive, Olympic champion and numerous WTA titles, but I think she hasn't reached her full potential in Majors. Konta, Brady, Sakkari, Vandeweghe, Bacsinszky, Bouchard have multiple GS semifinals but never won significant titles (except for Konta's 2017 Miami, okay 😁)..., whereas Bencic only has a SF in NYC19. 🙂 Not to mention Jennifer and Eugenie are slam finalists... Still waiting for Belinda's first GS final! 🎉

yeah Van Uytvanck was supposed to be the next big thing as a rising player, but she just never made the cut. From injuries to really hard draws she just always had her work cut out for her.

Notice how many times Makarova is in this video...... (can say the same abt Keys & Garcia too) And I called it back then, how pivotal for Ash to win against Maria, how that match was the platform that launched her career to new trajectory, and people called me delusional and giving too much credit to Maria. That match gave Ash the confidence boost that she belonged at the top of the game, notice how she started racking up all the big scalp consistently after that win.

Just want to put some perspective to what usually happens with New Quarterfinalists alot of times is that they dont perform well on the rest of the tour. Sure the quarterfinal spot will increase their ranking and it usually is the most money in their careers no doubt. However, as we all know most players never get to the top 10 or sustain winning matches which in turn results in them winning titles. When you look at certain names like (Krejcikova, Zidansek, Konta, Keys, Linette, Andreescu, Kenin, etc.)

@@hasana1051 as far as I'm aware, Ana is retired from professional tennis for good, living life was a happily married woman with kids But a part of me still wishes that she would follow in the footsteps of other mothers such as Azarenka, Wozniacki, Svitolina etc.. and return to the game 🤞🤞
