Hey Wobo, is there anyway you can do a video specifically on the weight/inertia changes from the patch? Would like to know the specifics on the differences between different levels of stamina, and how it will effect gameplay going forward, and could be useful for the players to give feedback from. Love your videos, keep up the good work!

Been playing all day today on Experimental, no issues at all. I noticed when carrying a lot, it felt like it would actually miss turns when sprinting inside a building, but when not heavy, it didn't do it. I like it

100% confirmed! It happened once for me while i was building and stuck in the stairs of a fence. I tried all and could not get out but then after a long time of moving, crouching and crawling in all directions i suddenly swam under the map. I did that for a while but couldn't see a progress so i relogged and came out in the near wood that was not far away from my stuck point.

So happy to see the end of the footwrap meta; Was dumb that being competitive basically meant having to have those. Also happy to see the eye zoom nerf whilst sprinting; Anything that discourages the meta of constantly holding shift, and therefore the infinistam style of server*, is alright in my book. \* If you don't like stamina that's fine, but I'm tired of servers being advertised as "Vanilla+" turning out to be running without stamina.

i dont understand why they make sound in dayz so unrealisctic. You can hear a person hold breathe almost 15 meters away, can hear a person chewing inside another building, can hear people reloading mags a kilometer away, there's no steath on this game, and now they make the sound louder again.

Don’t know if I will like the no zoom when running and inertia changes. Adding the inertia was fine but I love the state the game is in now. Except for the gun raise bug.

I like that they're trying to nerf wall peaking in 3pp dayz, but it feels a bit janky to have the camera moving around like crazy when you're in a diverse area with lots of walls, trees, etc. Also, I don't think many people who play 3pp care about wall peaking anymore because most of those players play 1pp servers.

@@dxp328 Yeah, it is pointless. I don't like wall peeking but that's exactly why I mostly play 1pp. 3pp's just a different playstyle altogether. I get that they might be trying to stop white walling, but there should be a better way than this. I was testing it and it jumps around all over when you're in the woods or a house, it's kinda crazy.

They gotta be careful with the weight changes. It's hard enough to carry a good amount of gear. 3rd person looks annoying as hell now too, although if it fixes peaking around corners, It might not be terrible.

While the foot-wraps should produce some noise, they should still be the quietest item given their lower durability now. Also i will give the devs props for doing a maintenance update rather than being content focused. A lot of games just keep piling on crap and neglect the actual game functionality.

The nerf to the feet wraps makes them almost useless imo. I think just the durability nerf would've sufficed. Otherwise, love everything in this patch.

the footwraps were added in for when players had ruined shoes, they werent supposed to be this really op item that made you really silent with no drawbacks and only costed a couple rags.

@@comic_the_ace They were obviously intended to be a stealthy alternative when they were added in, since they were just as silent as going barefoot. The devs giving up on their unique role for combat and just making them another type of shoe is really lame.

@@tanybrachid they were added for the same reason as all improvised clothing, a backup for when you had nothing else, there is no reason why an item that costs 2 rags should be part of the meta for pvp.

Having the footwraps make as much noise as the starter shoes makes no sense (assuming I understood you correctly). If they are nerfing the footwraps in this manner, they just as well remove them from the game. Less durability I can understand to a point, but without the stealth factor, the footwraps are nearly pointless. Just my opinion, though

Agreed on the new sounds for lifting! I noticed it too. LOVE The new engine sound! I spent 5 mins just turning on and off my car! I'm surprised you didn't cover stealth kills ruins vests... No more sneaking up to get a vests off zeds. You can see the vest go from OK to ruined in your video.

The whitewalling fix is a big one. I actually quit for awhile after losing my official character to a whitewaller. I was shot through a wall in a building with no windows. I confirmed in the replay the muzzle flash through the wall.

2 things I think really need addressing. 1. we can get replacement wheels, doors, hoods etc. but a replacement bumper would be more helpful especially as I suffer from lag (my screen freezes and 5secs - 60secs later I'm invariably into an immovable object, fence, wall, tree, etc, even at 15kph it'll take the bumper out and after the next lag I'm on foot looking for a replacement vehicle. 2. 3rdp you can look over walls, 1stp you can't. If it was real life you'd peak over the wall before making the jump.

I love DayZ, but if they want to get the recent hype for it alive, they need to add a bunch of QoL updates, we don’t need new sounds, birds being louder and removable wheels of cars.

The camera seems like it can be annoying when clearing rooms going in and out like that. Also what they need to patch is render distance it's pretty bad. You can even lay in the grass or you'll be shot from distance because it doesn't spawn.

PUBG solved that shit a long time ago, by sinking your character model into the ground when seen from a distance. (while laying prone on a grass texture, not on pavement and roads or any of that stuff).

@@zdspider6778This was also in Arma 2, where DayZ originally started.. as far as I know, in standalone, the only way you can actually do this is with a ghillie, since for some reason they had the insight to fix it for *that*. But I don't know 100% for sure.

One of the main reasons I no longer play official vanilla servers is because it’s pretty much mandatory to wear a plate carrier to survive, thus making you very heavy. Now you are going to be even heavier. I’m not a fan of unlimited stamina but I also don’t like having none at all when most of the time day z is a running sim!!

I really want them to fix cars. I keep having to turn the car off and on again because it stops moving forward. It's incredibly irritating. Currently, cars are so bugged that they're just not worth the hassle. Also, I'd love if there were VIP zombies. I remember when I started playing I thought the sound of deer was a mega zombie, it was terrifying. I'd love it if really strong and loud zombies, or zombie hoards, spawned that are avoidable by their sound but provide some cool loot if you team up and take them down. Basically a boomer or hoard from Left 4 Dead / State of Decay.

They mentioned that they fixed this in the changelog. It was just a gearbox desync issue, game would see the car in a different gear than you do, which is usually neutral, so it looks like you're in gear but you're actually not. Simple fix is just cycling to reverse and slowly going to first.

As a person with 2500 hours in the game, the full effect of zoom not being utilized by sprinting and only jogging should be reverted immediately. Also, I hope the devs fix the perpetual fog on the servers. PC players should not be punished because Xbox and Playstation cannot support the scale of rendering.

@@comic_the_ace yeah if the game wasn't trying to be realistic we would have something closer to PUBG, so you're wrong, of course the game aims to be as realistic as possible, the eye zoom only makes it even easier to spot people in bushes and open fields as its already very easy since for some reason foliage doesn't renders properly at a distance

@@Cyrak49 yeah no lmao, the devs have said that the game isnt being built to be realistic lmao every feature in the game is for balance not realism, realism is the very last priority for anything new and even then its just a simple "would this make sense in the context of the dayz world?". name one feature that is there purely for realism and nothing else. and the reason bushes and grass doesnt render at distance is because of lod and optimization if all the grass and foliage rendered in you would have 15 fps lol.

Every change in this update feels either completely unnecessary or detrimental to the game. Like i guess if i get koed and someone locks me up in a room with my hands tied for hours then i guess i just gotta go along with it or spend 30 minutes struggling while they punch me to death. Absolutely the worst choice they've ever made just IMO. Also the environmental sounds was something i was wishing theyd split up in the audio settings so i could turn stuff like wind and rain down a bit but they literally just did the exact opposite. And the momentum changes are gonna suck ass considering it cant stop raining for more than 2 minutes at a time in this game, they might as well have nerfed the stamina bar completely. The only thing i see as a positive this update is the 3pp nerfs but even that is highly debatable.

I don’t get your point. They’ve changed it so you CAN log out while tied up now; whereas you couldn’t before.

@@jayuk83 Thats completely not true 😂😂 ive logged out many times while tied up before just to get back to coast. Unless theyre saying disconnecting doesnt kill you but logging out does in which case im not sure why they made the change in the first place since i dont know anyone in dayz thats gotten tied up and crashed their game before they could be untied. Theyve changed it so you CAN log in and out without DYING, you've always been able to log in and out while tied up it just killed your character instantly. Im not in a position to fact check myself on this right now but im 99% sure that you can go in game right this minue, tie yourself up with some rope, and log out and lock back in to the coast.

I don't understand why they are going back to the weight affecting movement. I remember they did this with wet clothes a while back and it was a disaster, especially on Livonia where it rains so much. I can't see this being a change that people will welcome.

god forbid the 'plate carrier + field backpack + 3 guns' stops being a silver bullet and you actually need to consider weight for your loadouts

@@blacktiger974 and actually have to take the time to dry off. Players are too used to sprinting across the entire map wet and carrying 50kgs of gear. They should add trench foot, that, if left untreated, can cause gout and permanent implications on player movement.

The witches hoods are not new, just get brought out for seasonals. Foot rags getting nerfed is good but the distance food and drink being consumed can be heard needs to be adjusted down. And the face masks…. Of all the cosmetics/clothing they could have added was this high on the list?

Car bug where the gate gets damaged like you are redlining it but on your screen you are not. Also there is a glitch that messes up the car in certain places on the road like for example between Novya patrovka and the 3 barracks there is a glitch that your car will turn off of a sudden an possibly cause you to wreck if you don’t notice

One thing I would love to see fixed is a game breaking bug on console regarding mouse & keyboard support. Everything works except the inventory menu. When the console is set to 4k resolution the visible mouse on screen is separate to the invisible mouse that actually can drag and drop items. You can highlight items by randomly moving the mouse to find where it is. But it's not usable. My only fix is to change the console to output in 1080p, load up the game, and it works perfect then. Clearly forgotten, but I'd imagine easy to fix. I haven't play DayZ in months because of this. Would love to get this fix so I can enjoy the game.

The witches hood is toggled for spawns during the Halloween event. Same goes for the cauldron and the witches nose

Witches hoods have been around for a while, at least on community. Perhaps it's new to official? There is also a witch's hat and nose as well as the witch's broom and cauldron.

The eye zoom change really bugs me :/ and maybe the third person I usually play first person servers anyway, but maybe they should fix the clipping through walls instead of limiting it
