I personally know of multiple instances in a healthcare care facility where One person took out 5 staff. I won't go into the gruesome details.

Appreciate that clarification- makes a lot more sense. And not that all Cronenberg films make perfect sense, but that certainly helps me make more sense of the film. Appreciate it -

My personal favorites: 1. Eastern Promises 2. The Fly 3. eXistenZ 4. Videodrome 5. Scanners 6. Dead Ringers 7. A History of Violence The others I either never saw or have too faint a memory of to make an evaluation.

Bro…it was my first watch a few weeks back…tell me you weren’t like…WTF 😳 Plot wise - it might be one of Cronenberg’s strangest.

@@ungraduatedmedia yeah, definitely strange. I'd have preferred a bit more of a narrative tbh. Not sure I'll want to revisit it again. BTW James Spader's character is married to Deborah Kara Unger, not Holly Hunter. 😉 I definitely prefer other Cronenberg films over Crash.

@@MuckMan_Movies agree…I may watch again just to try and “understand it” a bit more. I was confused at the beginning with who was who’s wife, swinging partner, etc. lol - perhaps that’s why I still didn’t get it right in my overview but thank you for the clarification 😉👍🏼

Great ranking! Damn I didn’t know some of these existed. Spider is on my watchlist and scanners. Eastern promises is one I will pick up. Naomi Watts is a good actress I like her in most things. From what I’ve seen Videodrome is his best film. James woods is fantastic. 😎😀👌👍

Yeah man - he’s got quite the filmography and most all are worth a watch. I only truly didn’t care for Cosmopolis out of them all. They each offer their own “flair.” Definitely check out Eastern Promises…sooooo good! Scanners is also good, but I need to give it a second watch. Spider is very dark and different- If you like some of his stuff, then you’re going to like more. I’ve watched them all… Although I will say for some of his films, I do wish they’d have better endings. Probably my only gripe about his style. But yeah - thanks for checking out the vid once again bud

I thought the Dead Ringers ending was slightly disappointing. Not necessarily a bad ending, it just lacked oomph 😉

@@skincrawlers2510 exactly and except for “The Fly” as well as History of Violence and Eastern Promises- I feel that is the case for too many of his films. My only true gripe.

Nice! Curious of your thoughts on new Crime of the Future. I generally liked it - what were your thoughts on it?

@@ungraduatedmedia I was not a fan of the new Crimes film. I liked it ok when I first watched it but I did a full Cronenberg filmography watch through in January and found that Crimes (2022) is a huge step down across the board. From writing to filmmaking. I found that the film looks and sounds bland and is so visually uninteresting compared to previous works. The script certainly shows that it was written well over 20 years ago and had no changes. Super disappointing for me. It had a bunch of Cronenbergisms and ideas that he had already explored much better previously. Ultimately though I think my main problem with it is that it's pretty boring. I am very much looking forward to The Shrouds though, but not really excited by the idea that The Shrouds will have the same cinematographer as Crimes did, but hopefully we see a visual improvement.
