As a Jamaican born in Montego Bay and raised Georgetown Washington DC, I was there with my Ghanain girlfriend now my wife, We went there to support Kwame all the African teams, and I won't never and ever forget this tournament in my life especially Ghana vs Uruguay. Oh how enthusiastic I was, I don't forget after he missed a penalty kick at the last minute, I sent a message to FIFA, I told them the law must be changed when a player takes a ball with his hand from the goal, he must count a goal because a penalty kick can come up and this is unfair. This was the closest opportunity Africa ever had at the World Cup. Thanks to Ghana for wiping our tears of shame at that tournament because they were the only African team that showed up, even though it was hosted on African soil for the first time ever. I cry every time I watch this past matches especially that of Uruguay vs Ghana 🇬🇭. Hmm that day🤔..it was something else after the match. Shockingly, a friend close to me collapsed and died immediately😭. RIP Eugene 💔. We all supported our GHANAIAN team with our hearts ❤️. Numerous died that day. I mean numerous.
