I've watched multiple reptile videos of yours. I was particularly stoked to see this title. I looove house plants. I've never been much of a pet person, though since finding rept tube I want some, but I have owned several lovely house plants.

I discovered your channel as I research for my first bio active vivarium for anoles. Ive been out of the herpetoculture hobby for a long time- since middle school; but I’ve been keeping houseplants for a long time. Can I just say how freaking cute you are?! ❤ 😘

I'm obsessed with plants! My newfound love for reptiles (started a year ago) spurred my plant obsession. Started with plants specially for bioactives but now I've found the world of the rarer plants. I still have a mix of both rare and traditional plants though. I too love alocasias...you should check out the Alocasia Heterophylla Dragons Breath. It has a silver hue that's beautiful. You should also get a Philodendron Silver Sword 🙂 I'm waiting on a cutting of Moonlight Pothos which is also silver. Haven't seen it in person but the pics are beautiful!

I've always loved Hoyas. There are so so many cool varieties and they can vary a great deal, imo. I was good at keeping them. Their care is pretty basic and they're not hard to find. I got mine from home despot or Lowe's. My Hoya compacta carnosa would bloom for months and the flowers are gorgeous and have a unique pleasant fragrance. They kinda smell like chocolate, tootsie rolls specifically lol

Try to give the a slightly larger pot the plant you do not quite get to grow ;) When spring comes you can provide some new soil and nutriens ;) Fun with plants and animals/ reptiles :)

11:57 Scindapsus are shingling plants in the wild. Maybe see if you can give it a plank (or even a wall) to climb! I've seen quite a few people do that and once the plant starts to attach, they've taken off with new growth! I'm going to try it out with one of mine using one of our porch posts come spring.

I hope you're doing well! New to the channel and I loved this. I personally have a lot of multiples! I've consolidated a lot in the past few months, but I have about 10 Philodendron Brasil, 4(?) Epipremnum Aureum Neon, 3-4 Philodendron Red Emerald, 4 Philodendron Camposportoanum, 6(?) Epipremnum Aureum Golden, 4 Monstera Adansonii, and the list goes on. The most multiples I've had of one plant was Kalanchoe Houghtonii, I easily had over 150. 😂 I've consolidated a ton since, put ~70 together into a huge pot so now I have much more space for other plants. I still want to prop more Kalanchoe. 😬

I loved this! I used to have a bunch of Pothos growing around my house that connected from room to room. I also had a Spider plant and a bunch of others but I can’t remember what they were called. I had this GIANT plant that my friend gave me when my dad passed (on my birthday!) I had that plant for years, it had huge leaves! Really miss my plants 🪴 Great video, I loved seeing all the different types you have and not just what is in the enclosures. Keep us posted on the project plants, I’m interested to see how they progress.

I LOVE PLANTS!! My love of plants is what is peaking my interest in terrariums with animals. I want to showcase my plants along with living animals. I have multiple species of plants and Philodendrons and Chinese Evergreens are also some of my favorites. You would love a lemon lime Philodendron!! It kind looks like a neon pothos and a regular green pothos but they have the heart shaped leaves. Absolutely LOVE your videos!!! Keep up the awesome work and all your great information 😊

The Hoya that you showed off the medal shelve is on I would love to have, have you seen the blooms that they have, also they are pretty slow growing when there small.

I have about 50 plants. They are all different types except I have 11 snake plants. I will definitely get more snake plants in the future. I have stayed away from plants that need a lot of humidity because I knew they would die on me but I have decided to get dart frogs, which your videos helped me decide and I feel more prepared to get them. I am looking forward to putting high humidity plants in the frogs vivarium!!

I was so obsessed for years and when I moved to NS I just stopped getting them, since Covid I started wanting them , I find they are so expensive but I just bought 5 and the lady gave me 3 and I only paid $24, they are all established too.

Your pothos is growing slow because it puts out one lead per stem and you have very few stems. My mother plant has around 30 stems in the pot so it grows fast. I use epsom salt water and worm castings monthly on mine as well

Love this! Great tour. 😊 & I am definitely guilty of having two or more of each type of plant. Pothos are so common (and boring to most) - I absolutely love them and have at least 1O around our home (on top of the rest of my collection). They get so huge and I just love the long vines. 😆

It looks like the satin pothos is a Scindapsus Pictus'Exotica' and they tend to grow slowly. It is really a beauty. Mine do the same exact thing it grows so slow.

All of your plants are so beautiful! I've been obsessed with plants since I was a little kid and would try to pull up random weeds and plant them in pots. Lol. I have so many house plants and absolutely love every single one of them! I'm constantly putting my house plants into my reptile enclosures which is a great excuse to buy more plants 🤣. My satin pothos also had the same problem with not doing well no matter where I put it.... that is until I added it into my dart frog enclosure. It immediately took off. There is one or two new leaves a week and it is crawling the background so fast. I'm obsessed with it! I think the key for them is high humidity. My mom has one in her bathroom on the rim of her bathtub and it does incredible! One of my absolute favorite plants is any variety of Hedra Helix! Most people have trouble with them, but mine absolutely thrive and I love them so much!

10:25 Curious to know how your Anthurium Andraeanum is doing now! I've seen a lot of people struggle with them.

I think if you strive to keep your animals in a realistic environment plants just naturally integrate into your way of life too.

I'm stuck on the chonk because of that reddish growth. I'm gonna guess either Gloriosum, Dean McDowell or a plowmanii or mamei. Please tell me or I won't be able to sleep tonight 😅

Hey since you mentioned it, how have you found Philodendron plants working out in vivariaums? I am considering using a Philodendron erubescens cutting a friend has promised me in a bioactive crested gecko enclosure, but I have heard mixed things in if it is reptile safe or not. I know the whole genus is bad for cats, which is why I want to keep it contained, but I don't want it to put a gecko at risk either!

I'm super new to plants. How do you care for your plants, food/ water/ trimming. I want to get into plants but I don't want them to die on me so it would help me out if you could educate me before I purchase

I'm really curious-- do you get your cute/modern pots from any particular place or are you finding them at big box stores? I have so many plants in nursery pots that I'd love to get into something nicer!
