@@Kauan176ProBr All the starter decor in all the farm type houses are pretty unique tbh, so no it's not a fact, some people could actually hate how the meadowlands decor looks and that is their opinion Only difference is that it has a couch and a dresser Have you only been using one farm type and assume that all the decor is the same??

they definitely shouldve revamped the other farms to be more unique, like having them start with different crops and buffing them so all farms are viable, since this farm and the forest farm are pretty op

Literally my favorite farm by far now. Also when it said "not the best at growing crops" it fucking lied, there's literally half an acre of pure growing space across the entire lower half of the farm that you can do whatever you want with. This farm is basically godmode

I'm loving having chickens from the start! The early money is a bonus, plus I love the animals more than crops but they take so long to usually get! There's still plenty of farming space. It's just so cozy!! Best farm ever!! Also I was so curious as to what the new farm could be, as each seems to highlight a different skill & they all seemed represented. I love that he focused on farming with animals! So clever!

My chickens were named twig and petal and I thought that was so cute that I named the rest of my animals similarly. So I currently have one more chicken named flower, two ducks named rose and apple, and three cows named daisy, puddle, and leaf. I love them 😄

I looove it. My animals were named after crystals and stones, like Quartz and Smokey for the brown cows, Rodonite for the pig (is pink haha), Selenite for the Rabbit (the legend of the rabbit in the moon) and Amonite for the dinosaur (a fossil commonly used in jewelry)

The biggest takeaway that I as a relatively new player got from this was that I need a dresser stat. My chests be overflowing with clothes.

I actually like this farm. Sure you can't optimize your crop growing rate that well but the area in front of your house can serve as a great area to grow crops. And your crop growing will improve greatly once you get the green house too! Plus starting with some chickens can help get you some eggs and once you get a mayonnaise machine you can turn those eggs into Mayo!

This farm is GOATED. Early game chickens are way too good for money. You can nearly immediately get mayo going and get consistent money flow instantly. At least that's my theory I haven't played it yet

the chick names arent fully random, theyre chosen randomly from a set of paired names, so their names will be a matching set! for example i had Biscuit and Honey on my farm, and ive seen theres Salt and Pepper, Beans and Toast, and definitely lots more! just a cute lil fun fact

It’s honestly OP. Having eggs from the beginning gets you to Caroline’s greenhouse so fast. And Marnie loves eggs too so you’ve got the purple shorts immediately. Pretty sure most of the other villagers at least “like” eggs too so they are a great thing to have to boost friendships without breaking the early bank.

Something great i have found is the small island that contains the Shrine can fit the house on it so you can move the house over onto the island out of the way giving you a ton more space

I love how the medowlands farm is the complete opposite of what we were expecting. Instead of CA giving it a new look and existing features from other farms, we got a pretty similar farm to the others but with a new and interesting use! I really like the idea behind it, encouraging new players to explore the animal farming aspect of the game - most of the new players treat animals like a hassle and just focus on farming crops all day. I can't believe we got this from 1.6, when the first speak of it we heard is literally a "small bugfix update"

The meadow is great for crops, there is so much open space for crops. Unless the land has some hidden defect that i didnt notice in my entire 1st year, it's pretty much a basic farm but you get to start with a coop and blue grass to level animals faster

Ive not played a whole lot but this update is whats gotten me into the game proper. Starting with a coop built is such an huge benefit, dont have to spend the I think its 4k gold on the coop then the 800 each for chickens. Starting with 0 crops is a small downside but not a huge debuff. Lastly the tillable area is a bit small but thats fine as soon as you get the green house it alleviates a little.

Not to mention your overall starting money is actually more if you sell the two chickens vs selling the parsnip seeds so i’ve actually been using it for my random item speedruns

I like that even if you do mostly have animals there’s still a good amount of open space around the entire farm to grow crops so even tho it’s not the best layout for crops it still works great! 😅

With quality sprinklers and scarecrows, you can only fit 234 crops into the plot beneath your house. It's pretty bad for farming, I like to have upwards of 400 crops growing at a time.

Early game; not getting 15 parsnips does affect your first pay day. There is also no water source close to your house.

I got the owl statue on the second day when I started that farm! I used a chair to get across the river that had the stump blocking it but... I neglected to think about how I could get back on the other side because apparently the chair does not like that bridge. I made a chest so I didn't lose any items take that game!

I would love it, if it didn't halt crop farming to the degree that it does. It looks far better than the standard farm, but i can't say i enjoy being limited to that degree. It's also practically impossible to get some proper symetry when the only farmable part is full of ponds and is uneven because of the grass tiles, which will make it difficult to space sprinklers in a way that doesn't waste coverage.

a problem nobody talks about with meadowlands: you start with a bench, not a chair. aka: the secret woods skip only works one way you will have to restart the day…but like easy fix just go buy one

I've added ducks to this coop later on and one of the ducks escaped out the fence before my eyes by jumping into the river and back out. I never knew ducks could do that before then

I’m pretty sure there was some legal trouble with the mobile release of 1.5, but now that CA has the framework for mobile updates it should be out in around 2-4 weeks
