Great summary of the boxes! I'm always hesitant to get something like this because I am a picky person and I know I may not use all of the things I get, so I would rather pick things out. This is fun to watch and got me thinking a bit differently.

you know how some folks do a clothes swap with their locals - you should do an EC swap - bring in your fellow local planners with their unused planner supplies and take turns picking then donate everything that is left. I am sure there are many pre schools that would love a stack of stickers and such

I was so bummed when I went to pick up the spring surprise box of this year and they had sold out! They went so quick! So this season I snagged mine quick!😎 Can't wait to see what's in the box..I'm one that likes to know before I get mine!😀 I think I'm going to really like it, my taste is very simular to yours so I'm excited!

I started in Fall 2018 and I LOVED that box, but I love fall colors. I also loved this past spring box because of the umbrella. Can't wait for this one!!

I started getting them with fall 2018 and that one was definitely my favorite (though I didn't like the puffy stickers either- I gave those to my niece). I also really liked a few things in the winter 2018/2019 one - the mug and notebook, and then I really love the umbrella and sticky notes book from the spring 2019 one.

This was awesome! My favorite box was the summer 2018. I use everything in that box including the hair ties and the box with the mug. I used everything in that box as well. I always purchase them because it’s so fun to see what you get. I don’t always like everything but I think it’s totally worth it.

I loved the Winter 2017 box and that year I got an extra one for free which was perfect for gifting during the holiday season!

@@PlanwithLaken true I do that too, what I meant is I ended up with two of the winter 2017 boxes :) I kept waiting for someone to contact me saying there had been a mistake but they didn't so I used the contents of the second one to gift friends :)

I actually loved the Denim box and didn't like the last Summer box. I use pencils everyday for work, so those are awesome! And love the pencil pouch. Just big enough to carry a couple of pencils, pens, an eraser and pencil sharpener. The last Summer box had almost nothing I'd use. I ended up selling it. I did buy the new Summer box and am excited to see all the goodies. Thank you for this video. It was fun seeing all the past boxes.

I realized I had all of them except for the first one and Summer 2017, which I am most sad about as it would have been my most favorite. Hands down my favorite was summer 2018. Loved the sunglass case and even the cup.

My first one was the most recent, because I really, really wanted that umbrella! I wish I'd gotten last summer's box, so I'm definitely ordering this summer's. Love summer themes & colours! Plus, it's winter here in Australia and I could use some summer happiness! So interesting to see this comparison of all the boxes, thank you!

I have never gotten a seasonal surprise box before because I was never sure they were worth the money. But I really wished I had gotten one with the umbrella, so this time I am diving in. Can't wait to see what's inside!

Really liked this video & getting to see what all has been in all of the boxes. I've only gotten two, winter 2018 & spring 2019. I was really nervous about the spring as I was not overly impressed with the winter box, in fact half of the stuff is probably still in the box. From that box my fav was threw 365 book & my least was probablya tie between the mug & candle. I burn candles every day & I'm real picky about them. I was really excited about the umbrella in the spring box. I liked most everything in this box. I know I'll buy the summer for the simple reason of FOMO. I do wish they'd get a little now consistent with what they include. We shall see. For someone who's only been in the planner community for less than a year it was great hearing about all of the old ones. Thanks for the awesome recap though...great job!

Great video! I got all but the first two boxes. My favorite item so far I think is the umbrella, but I LOVE the Summer Lovin' cover and the fall leaves cover so much, that it's kind of a three-way tie. This past spring box was definitely my favorite, since I use ALL of the items in it. It's been hit or miss for me, too! (AND OMG the denim box...yeah, that was my least favorite, too). I am a HUGE marker fan, and I use those two that came in the spring box all the time, to the point that I'm debating ordering the 10 pack even though I'll have a ton of duplicates...

Bought the Spring box (my first box) and the umbrella wasn't my fav...but I did love the stickers and the other items. I rushed to order the summer box. Will be interested in the Fall box because fall is my favorite time of year. :)

I’m so sad I didn’t get the umbrella and glasses case. Those are my two all time favorite items! I hope to get to a store to buy the umbrella. I NEED to own it!! I did NOT like Winter 2017 at all but did like the denim stuff. My last box that I ordered was winter 2017 and I stopped after that since I was so disappointed. But I’ve picked up a few items, all the denim stuff being some (because I loved the denim!!), and I got the maroon zip pouch from a planner sales group as well. I’m definitely ordering the summer box and will probably stay up till midnight tonight to be sure I order early!! My favorite box of all was the last one with the umbrella!!

Loved this video 😍 after going through them, it's really hard to pick a favorite. There is at least one item in every box that I still use to this day, so that's good 😂 Honestly, my favorite might be the very first one. It's tough to choose though! Can't wait to get the new one 🙌

My first box I got was summer 2018 and I loved it! I prefer boxes that have a good mix of planner and lifestyle stuff. That was probably the favorite that I’ve gotten. My two least favorite boxes were actually the two most recent ones. I was really excited about the skinny washi from the spring at first, but disappointed at how crappy the quality was (but at least we got a gift code to make up for it?) I mainly bought the box for the umbrella, which was totally worth it but really the only thing from the box I use besides maybe the sticky notes (but I have so many already.) I also didn’t love the winter box from last year but that’s mostly because every item fell into the “not bad, but pretty unnecessary and underwhelming” category for me. That said, I do use all the items in the box to some extent.

I’ve only purchased one so far and that was the winter 2018 box, I decided not to get the spring box but now I’m thinking I might need the summer box 😂 I have such a hard time deciding! I like surprises but I don’t at the same time, if that makes sense? I really liked how you compared all of them though, it was really helpful.

I ordered this new one as soon as I got the email on the 28th. LOL :) I ordered the Spring 2019 and loved it. I just found out about EC this January so I am very new. I would have loved to get the Fall 2018 box, and I am so hoping the new box has a planny pack. I'm not a fan of the new sticker sheets that came in the Spring 2019 box. I still haven't used not one of them. I do love the cover that came. I didn't think I would ever use it, but I just put it on my planner and I love it. I'm so excited to see what's in the new box! To me the price is worth having something to be excited about. LOL :)

My favorite box was the summer one with the Summer Lovin cover. My least favorite was last summer with the cup and sunglasses case. On the fence about the new box and future boxes since I will most likely need to switch planner companies since they did away with the 1/2 boxes in the hourly for 2020. I am so torn, I don't want to switch, but I just can't deal without the 1/2 boxes since I am a functional planner and have many meetings that start/end on the 1/2. So torn!

Most of the times the surprise box items are still useable without an EC :)

@@PlanwithLaken I know, but I am just so frustrated about having to deal with finding an alternative that and will most likely stop using EC altogether. If covers come in the box I would not be able to use those, stickers most likely won't fit a different company's layout, ect. When I switched to EC I dove in hook, line, and sinker. I really love the paper, the old hourly layout, the size of the planner, the covers, the themes and the whole EC lifestyle. I had found complete planner peace. Now I have to start all over.

I LOVE EC and all the things, but I know plum paper switched to the Mohawk paper recently and the EC covers fit their planners too. Just FYI

I agree with your assessments. However, EC inflates the value of some of the items in each of the boxes. The $ value of the gift stickers in the winter box was outrageous, my EC teal water cup cracked right when I received it! I do love though getting planner supplies, but that umbrella was my favorite of all time box items. The denim box was the worst. I do enjoy the fall boxes.

Sometimes the values are a little inflated, although I think the boxes are still always worth the $35!

I have all of these boxes and have loved the majority of them all. I didn't like the Spring Denim one but that's the only box I didn't love. The only items I liked from that box were the stickers and the re-usable tote. I use the sunglass case as my regular glasses case and I use it everyday. I'm so bummed because I can't buy the new Summer Surprise box and I'm so upset about that. Job hunting stinks. Now my streak will be broken. Boo to that. :( Yes, all of the stickers have been exclusive to the box.
