Andrew Scott was robbed not getting nominated for a Best Actor Oscar. That movie blindsided me. The ending, with "The Power of Love" playing- omg. No words. Fantastic.

I couldnt agree more. I know this movie was a late entry but Andrew Scott made a very convincing case for a best actor nod im hoping this film gets the love it deserves

Great review. You've nailed it. The film is about love which is why it will become a classic for ALL. It's not just about gay/romantic love. I went into the screening knowing nothing about the film. Confusion gave way to surprise, shock, and tears. Lots of them.

I’m still crying from that movie. I watched it four times. Twice myself and once with my mom and once with my dad. I cried in each viewing. The scenes with his parents, just holy mother of god, took my breath away. When they were decorating the tree during Christmas and his mother singing quietly to him “you were always on my mind,” by the Pet Shop Boys, BAWLING 😭 5/5

Also, I don’t want to say it, but I will, I’ve wanted to see the gay Andrew Scott since seeing him in Flea Bag as the “hot priest.” Like my prayers were answered with this film 👍

You have so beautifully put to words all the emotions I also experienced while viewing this masterpiece! I needed until now three viewings to halfwise grasp all that's going on in the film and everytime I find something new . The scene towards the end when Adam and Harry are lying in bed and the tear rolls over Adams cheek gets me everytime! You feel all the pains of the world in his expressions! Without a doubt a cinematic gem!

Spot on assessment-this film is incredibly moving, and I agree it’s nearly a perfect film. The four actors embody their roles fully and humanly. It’s haunting and an absolute testament to the way love shapes our lives and our deaths. Love literally moves a character to conjure his long deceased parents from childhood memories into the present day-it’s beautiful, it’s sad, it’s just so well done. It deserves all the accolades and then some.

I didn't know much about this movie, I wanted to see Paul Mescal after I saw him in Aftersun. So.. I've seen this movie and... At first I didn't know much what happened... I mean, I wasn't sure what really happened there. I just had deep emotions. I was sure I wanted to see it again. After I came back home the things started to settle inside me. After some time I watched an interview with Andrew Haigh and some reviews. After 10 days I went to see the movie again. I watched it more carefully. A saw more details, dialogs, scenes.. I'm sure I'm going to see it again and again. I'm speechless. And your review is fantastic, so enotional.

Thank you so so much for the support! One of the most heartbreaking scenes for me was when Paul mescal’s character first introduced himself to Adam (Andrew Scott) because it was something so off about the way they were the only ones in the building and he just looked so alone and once we got to the end my heart just burst 😭😭😭😭 that and when Andrew Scott got to come out to his parents and both moments w his mother and father were so beautiful. I really wished this movie was getting more attention because its freaking phenomenal
