Absolutely love how this game finally did both Syzoth and Baraka justice, and turned them into extremely good characters instead of making them scumbags and punching bags like the other games did, it’s so refreshing and it finally gives them an opportunity to shine.

I love how innocent and casual characters like Reptile and Smoke are now.

Reptile is awesome I love that he’s given more attention as a good guy this time, but I sorta wished we seen him more often in his Zatarren form than human. We mostly only seen him talk in his lizard form once in the whole story which is a lil disappointing, it’s great to see him return and not be a jobber.

Baraka and reptile being good guys is probably the best choice they could took, finally reptile is treated like a warrior instead of abomination (and plus, the guy is pure at heart), and baraka isn't your generic ugly bad guy anymore

I love that in this one, he starts as a "villain" or being forced to stand at the villains side, but is actually a very nice guy who wants to help our heroes. Then when he realised he was screwed over, he joined the good guys and stayed with them till the end. And he was very useful and got his own arc. Our boy got the attention he deserved for soo long❤❤❤❤

Has anyone else noticed that Reptiles story includes a lot of clues and hints that was used in the classic MK that needed to be solved in order to fight him. Like Clue 2 was You must Find me to beat me - which he says at the parade. Clue 3 was Alone is how to find me - he explains to the group he has been alone since his kind ostracised him because he can turn human. Clue 6 was Look to La Luna (The Moon) @23:27 Reptiles chapter starts with him on a rooftop in front of the moon. Clue 8 was - TIP EHT FO MOTTOB which had to be reversed to read Bottom of the Pit - When we meet & fight Reptile for the first time it’s in the flesh pits.

Reptile being stealthy in the festival is the most Ninja shit to ever come out of recent MK media.

Syzoth has always been my favorite character in Mortal Kombat. It was so good to see a story mode in MK1 finally give him development and his own chapter to kick ass. It was a long time coming. Now it’s time to keep the momentum going.

I like that Lui Kang built this timeline from the ground up, and he tried to give characters like Baraka and Reptile, who in the past timeline were slaves, mentally ill, confused, or just hired soldiers nicer lives, but outside interference caused their paths to get screwed. They are, at their core, good people, reflecting Lui Kang's hope of making a better world, even for his enemies.

This game is actually the best Mortal Kombat movie i've ever seen!

Man, as a former reptile main this brings tears to my eyes, sadly I can't afford the game atm but will soon get it and go back to being a reptile main.

It is something to see Reptile so young looking. Normally he looks like he is in his mid 30s, and not early 20s. Would be nice to see more of his lizard form. Also, even more his lizard form with his clothes on. It was a nice touch and sort of funny seeing his original retro form briefly in the big fight in the end.

Among the changes the story made, I loved how they handled Reptile's character. Kenshi and Johnny's friendship was also a highlight. I really wish they didnt go back to the multiple timelines shit in the story. Everything was solid until they did. I just want a story with these characters as they are to play out without the timeline stuff convoluting everything

Honestly, using all the possible outcomes of different timelines is actually genius I mean Goro Khan, Dark Tyrant Kung Lao, LK-7T2 Smoke, Dark Kitana Kahn, Kano-ifed Sonya, I honestly never thought that i'd see any of these, I'm impressed. After all, you can't expect anything with this "Deadly Alliance" And "On that, we agree." The only thing that I wish for is to actually play as them. I don't mean Quan-Chi, I mean, all the alternate variants of everyone.

The attention to detail in this game is insane. Just look at 3:02. In the back, you can see a man strapped to a wooden board. As the Tarkatan(or, i presume they are) starts feasting on him, he starts shaking and struggling, and after a few seconds he stops, indicating he has died. I love this game.

this version of Reptile in this game is so extraordinary, did him justice, even he had a family thi s time (that unfortunately not is show), courtesy of one of the best fighting games of the year, but among other things, Khameleon and Reptile apparently don't know each other in this timeline (28:08), is unknown if she is also a ''pariah'' too between her species for take that hot humanoid form, must be look same as Syzoth behind that facade, ¿right?.

3:11 Could we take a second to acknowledge that if that one Tarkatan clone didn't let go of Kung Lao to eat the other prisoner, the story most likely would've ended right then and there. Either that, or it at least would've been way harder for Baraka to rescue everyone. To me, it says something about just how much Tarkat takes hold of those affected. Trying to obey and be a good guy, only for the disease to bring even the kindest into a whole different direction, and make them an entirely different person devoid of self-control.
