@@Darknesss490 they are exactly as strong as they were in Fallen Order, but with the increase in abilities of Cal, and the other enemies that are balanced against his new abilities, they come off as incredibly weak in comparison

Yeah, the only problem I have with them in this game is that they are supposed to be shorter than the b1s by quite a bit, and for some reason they made them really tall in this game.

@@TacticaLLR I never noticed they are shorter that much they must be the size of clones to fit into their armor, so Id say they are around 1.80 meters, and B1 droids are 1.93 meters I think

Purge troopers are exactly as strong as they were in Fallen Order, Cal is significantly stronger in Survivor. They’re biggest weakness now, particularly when fighting other AI, is they aren’t nearly as aggressive as the other AI and their unblockable attacks don’t hit half as hard as the other AI

@@thataberranthalo8032 You'd think Purge Troopers, whom from what I gather are still Jango Fett Clones, would be able to destroy a couple of B1 Battle Droids. Guess the Imperial Training really is that bad.

@@Devastor2041 I looked it up just to double check this is what I got from Wookiepedia: "The early detachments of Purge Troopers were made up of a batch of clones from the last production line..." So were both right, though my guess is, the Purge Troopers Cal fights are not Jango Fett Clones, given their voices and lack of skill.

They were out smarted most time in lore the clones were deemed more effective due to better training , smarter tactics and a greater ability to be creative while the droids were so rapidly produced with pretty bad programing that they were usless against a trained army long term

If i recall, maybe 1% of the CIS' droid forces consisted of the actually-good droid models and an absurdly extreme majority were the fodder B1s, as the B1 was the only droid model feasibly cheap enough to field as a galaxy-spanning army. All the higher model droids were very dangerous, competent, and terrifying at the cost of being quite expensive to produce, field, and lose. So most battle droid models were superior to clones, but couldn't be fielded in large numbers so they were supplemented by legions of dirt cheap B1s. It's interesting how objectively badass the non-B1 droids are.

How exactly are battles between NPCs with arbitrary stats from a video game objective? Do you even know what that word means? You can't make objective statements about power scaling in works of fiction, as that will vary wildly depending on who's writing the story. It's *entirely* subjective. In The Clone Wars TV show, standard Clones are shown defeating Commando Droids on multiple occasions. For example, during the liberation of Ryloth two BARC Troopers were jumped by a pair of Commando Droids and still won the encounter despite the fact that they didn't have blasters. So while they are definitely smarter than B1s they are still incredibly stupid when compared to human soldiers, and that counts for a lot in a fight. And since The Clone Wars was made by George Lucas himself, you could argue that its displays of feats are more legitimate than this game's.

Also, the reason they look like Clone Troops, is because they actually were for a time. The Clone Troops were turned into Purge Troops to aid the Inquisitors in hunting down Jedi survivors, there’s even a (now non-canon) comic where a Jedi survivor used the Force to re-activate Order 66 on some Purge Troopers. Which caused them to turn on their Inquisitor ally and allowed the survivor to escape.

I expected the BX to win. They were always superior to the troopers of the Empire.

Uhh, actually-

They did, actually. Those Separatist cells that weren't destroyed by the Empire were eventually absorbed into the Rebel Alliance. There was even one major battle where the Rebels actually used several reprogrammed hailfire droids to their advantage against Imperial forces.

Imagine if Palps was smart and reprogrammed all of the procured BX Commando Droids, but just put them in Stormtrooper armor to pretend that they're a super elite organic unit corps.

@@joshuakim5240 they would need to look organic too and stormtrooper armour sucks but some mobile armour good idea IT would be problematic if they died since peopele would find out palpas uses CIS droids

I'm pretty sure that the reason their named Hybrid is because their meant to be more tactical and stronger. When I mean tactical I mean like be able to do a lot more, they also wield both a blaster and a sword.

They are hybrid because they use knife and blaster(hybrid combat) while the regular ones are just knife(melee combat)

​@@camowyvern3836 Well yes, I wasn't wrong though since the word "Hybrid" Is also meant for intelligence, strength and speed, while as you said being able to duel wield both a range and a close range weapon. Being able to use a variety of combat techniques in battle.
