@BullsCentral I'm not sure I agree. Buzelis was the best talent available by far, and he fit our need (pf with size). Giddey is young but he has started in more than 200 games. I think we're just trying to get younger, becoming a high pace team. You need picks to rebuild...They would have traded Caruso for picks, in this weak draft we could have for sure gotten 2 picks (one for this draft & one for 2026)

We were the best bumslayers. We killed bad teams. That said, there is no way we don't get significantly better even if the squad stays the same the next year, but we were going to be continue to be humbled year one by the above.500 teams.

Honestly even if we get rid of Zack and Vuc it's not going to be a rebuild. Ayo has shown he can put up 12 to 20 points in games. I think Coby is going to get better. With Giddey Julian Phillips can carve out a role especially with his vert. If Billy lets this team play really fast it could be fun to watch. Are they going to be a playoff team no but I wouldn't be surprised if they were near the play-in again.

Ya know, I honestly think AK would prefer to tinker with the roster to see if they could be a playoff team sooner rather than later, but the financial restraints, and two of the current cornerstone players getting older, and further out of their primes, he's just playing the cards he has. The best option is to acquire the best talent he can, and the youth movement is just the most logical step. I really like AK, and I'm not sure another GM could outperform him, given the philosophy of the ownership group he's beholden to. ALSO, CONGRATS on another milestone, My Brother!!! Wake me when you hit a Hunnit K!! 😉😁🙌🏾

I think it'll be a mix of rebuild and staying competitive. I think we will shift to a younger core, but as soon as the opportunity arises, they will pull the trigger on something. Congrats on 40k as well

I think Giddy is an excellent trade, and I think the Bulls will do even better than OKC with Jalen and Matas, (although I do think your thumbnail is disrespectful to a great former Bulls player - just not the right fit). The Bulls will be back to their glory days within the next 3 years.

I still believe AK wants to retool rather than rebuild. He'll want established players if trading DeMarr, Zach and Vooch, more so than draft capital. Plus, I think you overvalue DeMarr. While he's good at one end of the court, he's as much of a traffic cone on D as Zach and Vooch.

It's a rebuild, now the question is, how frugal will be Bulls be with it, I know there is no cap space BUT you could trade Zach or someone else and take back a bad contract with picks to speed up the process while trading Zach or whoever else has value as veteran.

Demar has to stay. Every young team needs a mentor. OKC, that Spurs Dynasty. Demar getting Coby with dribble 2 much transformed his game. That doesn’t happen without Deebo. Same with Ayo coming out of his shell. I also hope they keep Drummond and Javonte. Javonte is the closest to energy and denfense we have since AC is gone

2 years ago Giddey averaged 17/6/8 in only 31 minutes per game. In James Harden's final season with OKC before he exploded with Houston he averaged 17/4/4 in that same 31 minutes. Chicago just got a white Magic Johnson. The Thunder and GM Sam Presti just made a colossal blunder.

Don't compare him to harden. Harden went to the NBA finals giddy was the number 3 option at the end of the year on a non playoff team. He averaged 16 points on 15 shots and this year the team was a playoff team and he was the 5th or 6th best player. In the playoffs he was unplayable

As soon as his team got good his minutes got cut and he was the 6th best player on the team. Anyone can score points when your the second option. Harden was a sixth man off the bench. He is no where near the talent or player harden was at that time

The Giddey one is a disaster ffs. If you want to rebuild, atleast have a pick or two. What's the point of rebuilding if you can't get any good assets on the draft? Considering that OKC is a goldmine of draft picks, we should have at least one. I admit, Giddey is good at some areas of the game, but the fact that it looks like a salary dump is so fucking pointless to the rebuild.

Real sports fans know the Bears and the Bulls haven’t been worth watching for years. Both ownerships are a joke. Greedy, incompetent, and uninspired. Cubs at least finally won. When they sold the team. Bulls won’t be good again until Reinsdorf and greedy curmudgeon committee sell. Bears probably same although Williams will be good and new GM is solid individual. Good thing Lauri and Butler went elsewhere at least they’ve had some enjoyment and success post Bulls incompetence.
