The level of information, mentorship and fatherly LOVE is so Freaking Awesome and inspiring. I once was too embarrassed and confusion about all the details of DETAILING. But Father Scott said "Just get out there & Polish something!" And so I did. Now, I have a crew of 20 detailers and Im carrying on with Father Scott's LEGACY of LOVE. Thanks MAN.

Lighting is everything, it almost looks perfect at the start but in the actual sunlight you will see swirls but it’s after it’s polished even to the minute scale it looks better and it’s all in the details where without the swirls the paint can truly be admired. I love your content keep it up

I can honestly say Scott, you have sincerely changed my mobile detail business for the better!!! I now use most of the products you recommend&employ your techniques for efficiency or to avoid fatigue (as I'm 51yrs young). The biggest change is my pricing, you posted another video on how you increased your pricing with your reasons. Took me a little time to understand this mindset but once I believed I was worth my increase, amazingly my cashflow has increased&not one client questioned my increase...Perfect! Best of luck with your channel, detail biz, & new retail products. Thanks again, PC

Scott, I really want to thank you for your very informative videos. I have been very intimidated and just not comfortable attacking the paint on my cars (i'm 54 yo) after watching your videos I picked up a HF da polisher and some griots orange and red pads. I have a 12 yo Ford Truck that is going to a new owner and figured I would see what I could do. I went with your 1.5 step with griots fast correcting cream and hd speed. The truck is white and l cant believe the outcome. Not only am I no longer intimidated but I am excited to see what else I can do. I appreciate your approach and you have saved me a lot of money not buying into the buying products hype that is everywhere. Thanks

Good video for starters, I work at high volume body shop and we skip a lot of those in between steps. We still get awesome results. But instead we compound with a wool rotary and polish with rupes yellow pad with the menzerna 2500 polish. It works for us the best for the amount of time we get to buff and polish panels on both fresh paint and old paint

Big fan of your 'I'm not gonna overthink it' philosophy Scott. Overthinking is a very real thing in the detailing world from my experience so far. Most of us want our cars to look amazing but don't want to spend years of our lives making it happen. It's the old 80/20 rule that applies to most things in life, you can get 80% of perfection with your first 20% of time and effort, the last 20% if you want it is going to take a lot of time and effort and I have a life to lead! Great job yet again Scott

As always, great video Scott! I have a new black car that for some reason has bad areas in the paint; noticed it yesterday as the sun was shining on it, you make using a DA polisher look so easy I'm thinking to give it a go in the spring/summer. I do have a questions though, it looks easy enough on a flat surface - hood, trunk or body panel but what about areas that are contoured, around headlights, black trim and places like windshield washer ports on the hood? For the contoured body areas do you just run straight across them with the contour or you you just go left to right and up and down to work the area like you would on a flat surface? In the places you don't want to get polish or hit with the polisher - do you tape up those areas? Or do you give yourself some leeway and stop an inch or so before getting to those areas? If I get up the nerve I probably would get the HF polisher and take your advice on getting a different backing pad and using the Lake Country Tangerine (they claim it is less aggressive then the orange (yup I'm chicken) ) and the Rupes yellow that you used with Sonax perfect finish since you said great things about how it makes a black car look. The car is a Hyundai if that matters. Any helpful hints about my questions.
