No, the countries of the Turks do not only come from the ancient times of Turkiye. In the old days, we Turks divided the empires into two and made it as east is yours and west is mine. If you count the countries that the Turks conquered or founded outside of the history of Turkiye, it will be twice as much as the history of Turkiye ever seized .

@@caninon7570 who told u? Where did u get the info. Formosa means beautiful island. It’s given by the European colonizers. When it came to China Ming dynasty (about 1600s). Chinese people took the island back and name it Dongning. When it came to 1700s. The Qing dynasty took over China( including Taiwan). And then this island was named Taiwan. Taiwan is always a province even till now. Taiwan is not the name of a country. Taiwan is still a province of ROC. It’s even referred in ROC’s law. But just some people in Taiwan don’t want to be related to the word “China”. So they would like to call themselves Taiwanese rather than Chinese. Their country’s full name is Republic of China. There’s also a province called Jinmen. It also belongs to ROC. So if u say Taiwan is a country. U mean Taiwanese people abandoned the Jinmen province. By the way I’m from mainland China. And I got no prejudice about Taiwan. So I definitely know more history or the historical terms about Taiwan than u.
