ABOUT WILL & GRACE
That's right, honey! A decade after their unforgettable eight-season run, comedy's most fabulous foursome is back. Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally reprise their celebrated roles as Will, Grace, Jack and Karen. The 11th and final season of Will & Grace will feature 18 episodes. Behold once again, from the minds of Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, TV's wittiest ensemble ever. The legendary James Burrows, director of every original Will & Grace episode, has returned with a slew of razor-sharp jabs and dirty martinis. Will & Grace stands as NBC's most watched comedy in seven years. Originally debuting in 1998, Will & Grace has been nominated for 91 Emmy Awards, winning 18 of them, including Outstanding Comedy Series. The series has also earned seven SAG Awards and the show is one of the few in TV history where each member of the cast has won an Emmy.

I know it doesn’t happen often but when it does the show is usually legendary. All in the Family, The Golden Girls, Will and Grace and most recently Schitts Creek. Those are the major ones.
@CeliniacForLife

@@sweeney60 I was coming to say this. And there's a pattern: The cast of All In The Family completed their wins in 1974, 14 years later the cast of The Golden Girls completed theirs, 15 years after them the cast of Will & Grace completed theirs, and 17 years after them the cast of Will & Grace completed theirs. Based on this pattern, it will be 16, 18, or 19 more years before another series completes their wins.

Because they've been such best friends for so long that no one could Imagine them no longer being together. This scene shows that that could be a possibly that they go their separate ways after all and that reality shocked and upset all of us, myself included. It even hit me again pretty hard just watching this clip Plus, the fact this show had always been so funny with their lines and comedic acting. It's distressing when, out of blue, it becomes deathly serious. That's something that no one ever expected either. That right there is what makes this scene so powerful. It took everyone by surprise with it's hard-hitting seriousness on several different unexpected levels. Completely brilliant writing actually, as painful as it was for us to watch.

But, it was a dramatic performance in a comedy show. If you think, almost every comedy show at some point in their run had at least one dramatic scene. They become so much more powerful because no one expects them in a comedy series. This one in "Will and Grace" is phenomenal.
