@hiddenhongkong I think the Tung Chung Line runs as a local service. Because it makes more stops on the 4 track sections.

Sunny Bay station has 5 tracks, not 4(two for tung chung line, two for airport express, and one for disneyland line).

Actually, in the Tung Chung line platforms at Tsing Yi station, the platform is coloured turquoise to better represent the literal meaning of the Chinese name: “Turquoise clothes”, much like how Wong Tai Sin is yellow.

Well done! Nice & informative. Is there any particular reason Tung Chung station was built underground? And what about the proposed line from Siu Ho Wan to Tuen Mun South via the underground tunnel?

Tung Chung was probably built underground to reduce noise pollution. Although some people have wanted a line to go with the new Tuen Mun - Tung Chung link, there has never been any serious proposal for the line.

@@hiddenhongkong I’m thinking the only way to extend island line to that new station whatever you call it after chai wan, to fix the issue the trains will stay underground to chai wan station, few meters west of the surface one
