Regarding the hunters, since they died while trying to kill the otherwise innocent Man Thing and also trying to kill Jack, I listed them as dead villains and they were therefore in the state of villainy vid. Regarding What If, I could imagine including Janet. I just wonder if it's worth included all the dead heroes or not. I'll give it some thought for next year. Regarding I am Groot, do we know the ice cream guy was killed? I mean, his ship was destroyed, but he could have been saved. We didn't see the body, so I'm hoping he lived. Or maybe it was run by a robot? I could see counting Iwua...would he be a friend...or maybe a villain? Not sure what to do with that thing. Regarding a total death count, I like the idea, but it would get like 10,000 comments questioning the math for how many Xandarians died or how many SHIELD agents died etc. That's why I've stuck to named deaths that we saw on screen. I do agree it could be a fun idea, but the endless comments of "dude, you got it wrong" might be more than I could handle. lol!

Excellent feedback: - Regarding AoS, you are right, I was counting the LMD as still being Coulson, but it isn't really him at that point. - Very interesting info about the cop and Sousa's relationship! - For What If, I just picked Christine since her death was so significant, but I could include others, such as Janet in the zombie episode. - Defender Strange did seem more like a villain, I agree - I considered the hunters to be villains since they wanted to kill Man Thing and Jack. So they appeared in the State of Villainy video. Thanks for all the great comments!

Irk? It's so easy to focus on Tony and Nat as their deaths were so significant, but we've lost alot of heroes so far...and I suspect we'll be losing alot more as we approach the conclusion of the multiverse saga with Secret Wars!

Boy, those are some REALLY good questions. So I suspect that the X-Verse is separate from ours, based upon what we saw at the end of The Marvels. Not sure if that was Deadpool's universe or not, but I do think it was Feige's hint that the X-Verse isn't connected to ours. Same with Prof X showing up in 838 with the illuminati. So I do think it's an alternate universe. As for how he encounters the TVA, I have to wonder if there is some type of incursion. Considering the Kang in QM said that the other Kangs "played with time like children", that perfectly described what DP did at the end of the second movie. So I could see him continuing to do it at the beginning of the third movie and then creating a massive incursion with 616 that the TVA gets involved in resolving. But those are just guesses. What are you thinking?

@@AbitofEverything4U Yeah, it's not an easy question to answer. I agree with you that if they're going to keep the multiple Big Bang explanation then the X-verse should be its own multiverse separate from the 616 multiverse. That keeps continuity issues to a minimum, easily explains why time travel is able to act differently over there without having to dive into the "different methods of time travel have different rules" thing which would invalidate a chunk of Endgame, etc. Part of me likes your proposed idea of getting the TVA involved, but another part of me doesn't like the idea of 616 being involved in any incursions before Kang Dynasty. I don't think it makes much sense for 616 to be destroyed before then, and the idea that 616 might be smashing through other universes and destroying them without any notice or effort strikes me as strange. But that could certainly be what we're getting. I'm just really hoping Cable's time travel device isn't allowing Deadpool to just jump through random universes willy nilly a la America Chavez (though that would explain how he was able to show up in our universe to kill Ryan Reynolds as he was reading the Green Lantern script). So if it isn't, and we don't go with the incursion explanation, the only other possibilities I can think of right now are that 1) maybe the Kang of the X-verse has his own TVA separate from 616's TVA that will be pursuing Deadpool, and Deadpool doesn't actually join 616 until Secret Wars, 2) maybe there was just a single Big Bang that created the multiple universes, but the divergent point is just so far back that it's inconvenient to use Kang tech to travel all the way back to the Big Bang to jump into another universe that has just formed, but since Deadpool is practically immortal and would absolutely put himself through the inconvenience if it would pay off some joke, maybe he does travel back to the Big Bang and then end up in 616 instead of the X-Verse, 3) magic/Celestial/One-Above-All, etc. moves him to 616 for reasons unknown. So I'm not entirely happy with any of the 5 options we've presented, but hopefully Marvel will surprise us with something that works and makes sense.

Oh wow...I had never considered the idea that if the X-verse is an alternate universe then it could have a set of infinity stones that work differently...especially the time stone. So Cable's time device doesn't even have to have some contrived answer to make it work. Very interesting!

Good point about Coulson...yeah, the LMD wouldn't count as him still being alive. And man, Batch 89 was a heartbreaker. Gunn knows how to tug at our heart strings!

Oh and then the What if stuff I also agree would be hard to decide what to include. Because yeah since the format is that it’s anthology there’s so many deaths and so many villains and heros and stuff as well, so yeah what do you include, just the stuff that is in the finale? But that’s not the whole season, so yeah it’s hard to decide if you don’t do everyone or if you don’t do no one. Same with the heros in it, like there was a lot of heros in each episodes sometimes, but including all of those in state of heroism would clog it up so much. Same with villains, like when I was watching that video I was thinking that people like Hank Pym that killed the avengers could be in there, and there was other villains from pretty much every episode too. And then there was so many variants that casually were in episodes, like would you include all the tony stark variants in heros, or all the Loki variants as reformed or normal villains. Like yeah What if is such a hard one to deal with for these videos 😂

Zuri begged Killmonger to spare T'Challa's life, offering his own in his place as amendment for N'Jobu's death. Killmonger furiously impaled Zuri, who fell to the ground dead, much to the horror of T'Challa.

Re Classic Loki villain or not: If I recall, he inferred that his nexus event was that he didn't die by Thanos but just went into self exile and only got picked up when he left exile. That would imply that he had the same background as the main Loki, so I'd agree with him in the reformed slot.

Great question...so my take on it is that the red flash of magic that we see as the building falls off the cliff was Wanda using her magic to teleport away. So, in the state of villainy vid listed her as alive, but on probation. I am really hoping we get the answer of what happened to her when Agatha's series arrives, as I agree that she could also be dead at this point.

That is indeed a great question. I think all of the afterlife locations are unique for each universe (so that you don't meet your variants, as that could get weird), but where those afterlife realms are located is mystery. We do know you can return from the afterlife, as Moon Knight did it, but I suspect that it is not an easy thing to do and is therefore very rare. Just a few random thoughts on it. I do hope we learn more in the future!

Good question. It was the same way I classified in Odin, in that I put them in the category they were in when they died...i.e. no longer a super hero at that point. But I wonder if I should put them in the category that they spent most of their life? In that case, I'd say that Peggy, T'Chaka, Odin and likely even Frigga should super-heroes. Thoughts? Honestly, it's why I also struggle with what to do regarding Hank and Janet. Should they be listed as super-heroes in the state of heroism, due to all their earlier adventures? Ugh. So hard to know what to do.

Great question. So, I'm a huge fan of watching things in timeline order. So I made this document: drive.google.com/file/d/13rjXhVCzX_QGAaR8YVcqEZG6TR1ceupr/view?usp=drive_link. The document calls out any post-credit scenes that need to be watched separately from the movies themselves. For even more detail, the timeline spreadsheet goes into where each post-credit scene should be watched: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FkOvKi9dfLUOKchUjZCr4FZlBQKi-vkDzkmpiTFrK7Q/edit?usp=drive_link. The spreadsheet can be filtered to remove things you aren't interested in. The biggest decision is how many of the multiversal movies to watch. I recommend at least watching the Spider-Man movies and I would watch them in timeline order as well. With Deadpool coming, you might consider the X-men movies, and those get really hard to pin down the best order, since they re-write the past a few times. So perhaps release order is best for those. All that said, some people don't like timeline order, so in the end, whatever order gives you the most rewatch enjoyment is the way to go. Let me know what you decide for your order. Technically. But nothing points to them being in much danger if you haven’t seen it, being a generally fun movie that doesn’t advertise much personal drama or loss. I’d say it’s fine to “spoil” the movie by saying “the fun movie stays fun and doesn’t make you watch the awesome Khan family die.”

@@AbitofEverything4U Yeah like S6 Coulson is a demon who took over a time displaced clone body of Coulson, while S7 Coulson is an LMD that has the real Coulson memories and personality built into him, but the real deal is gone.

He does get credit for coming back the most times of any other MCU character. Craziness!

Yeah, Secret Invasion was definitely my least favorite MCU entry so far. Loved the romance between Fury and Varra but the plotholes were pretty hard to handle.
