All of your projects sound incredible! You’ve done so much! Congratulations! I’m excited to read your published story this year. I also write speculative fiction and it’s an interesting experience. I admire your ability to write cyberpunk!

Great video! It's always nice to see the progress other people have made, it makes me want to write more. My writing progress this year has been good in the grand scheme of my entire life, but I'm hoping to do more in 2023. It all sums up to one accomplishment: I finished my first ever draft at 100k words, which was a relief. In hindsight it's a mess, but at least it's "complete" lol. I'm currently switching between outlining and drafting my next book, which I'm trying to make a little less of a mess lol. My minimum goal for next year is to finish this book, but I'm hoping to write three books to really get my momentum going :D

Loved this video✨️ I absolutely love the way you talk about your writing and stories! I actually filmed my own writing wrap up video after watching this, and I want to give you credit for where I got the idea! I hope that's ok :) You're such an inspiration to me and I always look forward to your videos. Your content has helped me so much with my own writing journey and I'm looking forward to watching more from you this coming year! Also so hyped to read your story once it's published next year 🥰🎇 hope you have an amazing end to the year and wishing you all the best in 2023!

i love this video! i wrote 3 projects this year and one of my project which is nicknamed "project April" really "taught" me on how to show and not tell since i struggle a lot with that. after writing the other two projects, I can somewhat tell how much i improved in project April and how well my dialogue was structured. i hope to finish it in 2023!

I can't remember if I've said it before but congrats on getting the publishing slot with Sway With Me! That's awesome! And it's so great that it gave you that confidence boost. I so get what you mean about blending genre and literary fiction, I want to do the same thing with my novel! It's on the back burner right now, most of what I did on it this year was retooling the world building and chipping away at outlines. But that's ok, it's still progress! I didn't write much non-illustrated work this year but I did submit my first short story (from 2021) to a horror magazine and it got accepted! That should be out any day now, very excited :) Looking forward to seeing your progress in 2023!!

I I love your videos! Can I ask how I can improve my writing and come up with better ideas? I'm struggling to find inspiration for good ideas.

Writing things for the market is good when a change of pace is needed, or you see a trend that you know you can efficiently write for, or you just want to exercise a certain muscle in your craft. But there are occasional times when the stuff you get deep and personal about *happens* to be where the market is. The key is to not overthink it. I know how hard it is to be vulnerable on the page. The assholes who say "write what you know" don't grasp that part. So I'm rooting for Project Nightward in part because I very much want your emotional risk to be worth it. But if you were put on this earth to write nightmare tales of late-stage capitalism ... ROFLMAO ... it's hard to know what to say to that one.
