They will eventually be out, but I am not rushing them this year. There’s still a few films that I have left to see that are categorized as 2020 films by my eligibility, and after 2019, where I released my awards only to then see a couple of films afterward which would’ve scored highly on my ballot in several categories, I am not going to be doing that again. I am working on them (and other years as well), so trust and believe that not only will you see 2020’s nominees and winners, you will see other years as well going back to the start. It’s a colossal undertaking, and unfortunately it has had delays due to technical issues and personal limits, but it is underway.

Thank you so very much. His post-"Tree of Life" output is certainly a different mode than what came before it, as it is far more freewheeling and abstract, but once you recognize that "Tree of Life," "To the Wonder," "Knight of Cups" and "Song to Song" form a loose autobiography of Malick's own life, they cohere a lot more than as standalone films.
