So the 3rd awakening is kind of like accepting their current growth and past goals but also how they plan to strive for their dreams and goals without compromise. Morganna's first persona represented his envy of humans and desire to be one while his second represented his acceptance of his role as a guide and mentor to the team. His 3rd persona likely represents the fact that, even if he isn't a human, he can still uphold a gentlemanly quality he hoped he would achieve as a human. Ryuji's represents his desire to continue striving towards his trackstar dreams (shown in the sportswear his persona bears) in much the same way his original persona represented his straightforward nature. Only this time it's William without the pirate moniker, likely meaning that Ryuji plans to accomplish his dream without the delinquent moniker he used to get back at society. Ann's is surprisingly based not on the identity of her original persona but on a woman who performed as Carmen so well, the role was rewritten to suit her own character. This represents how Ann wants to become a model for the sake of being an inspiration and strength to others like herself and Shiho. Yusuke's represents his artistic spirit like Goemon but it's overly garish coat likely represents his will to set out on his own to create his own art rather than be guided by a mentor or seek the appraisal of other artists. It ties into his confidant arc about seeking true beauty and understanding all the different aspects of the human heart to find it. Makoto's persona still embodies Johanna's symbolism of being uncompromising in beliefs and moving towards a goal without hesitating but it's sleeker design gives it the impression of being a powerful and absolute arbiter of justice, likely embodying Makoto's principles and renewed passion to upholding her father's legacy with her own beliefs. Futaba's persona bears the true name of the Necronomicon and resembles a Pyramid like her palace. It no longer represents a desire to seek or give forbidden knowledge but likely to take all of that knowledge within itself (like a tomb) and use it for her own self growth. Which is likely shown by her wish to start high school. Haru's persona is a modernized Milady. While Milady represented a refined dignity that hid a rebellious spirit underneath, Lucy represents Haru working towards restoring her company's reputation and rectifying her father's wrongs by steering it in a direction that will prioritize customer happiness. She no longer acts like dainty royalty and chooses to take matters in her own hands. For Sumire, Cendrillon represented Cinderella at the ball, hiding behind a guise of royalty to escape her poor self, much like how Sumire hid behind Kasumi's identity to escape her trauma and conversely, Vanadis likely represented Sumire's true personality and decision to uphold her and her sister's dream (so in a way Cendrillon is kind of like Kasumi's persona and Vanadis is Sumire's). Ella represents Cinderella after being wed, bearing the grace and beauty seen in the girl at the ball but no longer hiding behind a false self - having been seen for who she really is. Likewise it represents Sumire upholding Kasumi's will and even appearance but staying true to herself as Sumire. Akechi's two personas represented the hatred he bore in his heart as well as the almost comically fake and superficial justice he pretended to uphold. Hereward bears Robin Hood's physique but the sleek black typical in villains. This likely represents Akechi maintaining his hatred and staying true to himself but how, in spite of that, he wishes to do the right thing even if it results in his death. Unlike Robin Hood's flamboyant and superficial appearance, Hereward represents a truly heroic spirit: One that does the right thing even if others will not see it as such. Finally come's Joker's Raoul. If Arsene represents a selfish rebellion to get back at society and Satanael represents the rebellious will of society itself, Raoul represents the rebellious will of a gentleman thief fighting for society even if they do not wish it. Maruki's reality is a golden ticket with absolutely no downsides and many people would benefit from it (not least of all the Phantom Thieves themselves). But Joker chooses to oppose that so that people can grow and move forward instead of getting complacent. This is me basically bullshitting opinion but that's how I interpret the symbolism of each persona.

I get it. The first persona is the memories, the second persona is the growth. Put those two together and you get the truth, the third persona. Both the modern looks and the first name basis shows, who they were and who they became are forever now one.

Wish the third tier Persona events were fully voiced like P4G but not complaining cuz great dialogue either way.

I love how all their base persona’s are based on mythology or folk tale, so old fashion And their second Personas are so different and modern so When they fuse it’s like the old meeting the new, like how Celestine is blowing bubble gum, or how William is riding on a Yacht. Its a return to their true selves but with a stronger will, and this helps boost the context with them apologizing for losing their way

I love the persona abilities and styles but it’s a shame that some of the 2nd tier personas had to leave. For example: I liked Kamo-susan-oo and Anat, but it would be weird if everyone else got a third tier persona except them. Wouldn’t have it any other way... Also, is no one gonna talk about Gorokichi and Goro Akechi? (This basically means Akechi has a Robin Hood persona with the Japanese Robin Hood’s name. Damn)

How the hell does Haru's persona learn Tentarafoo!? Last time I checked Ann learns it at level 30. Plus its waaay too overpowered to give her mental ailments, since her primary elemental magic deals bonus damage to them. If Forget ailment works the same like in the original (it doesn't have an attack triggering technical damage), she should've got that. But I think they made Psy deal technical damage to it now, I'm not sure.

I am not one to judge but can we just talk about Faz's weird move sets. morgana with media, patra and lucky punch and without wind boast and amp, Ann without concentrate, ryuji with elec boast when not only can it stack with elec amp, elec amp is also stronger, yusuke with 4 physical skill, and no ice amp or boast (can kind of get because yusuke can attack more physically), makoto without evade psy, getting rid of haru's life wall and sumire without bless boast. it is kind of hard to impossible to mess up Akechi and futaba's skill set.
