John Singleton said that he filmed the brothers in groups a lot throughout the film because it help to give the idea that they are close. There are rarely any scenes with them alone.

Four brothers is a cult classic to me. A very underrated movie with a lot of quotable lines and multiple plot twists. Once again, your reactions are great. LOL @ your reaction to the house shootout. A lot going on in that scene. ( clicking subscribe)

8/10 Well Crafted Revenge Film I'm drawn to movies whose trailers inspire a visceral reaction...This one's is so clichéd...Poor old Mom gets whacked and her adopted sons go after the crooks...Still, the action in the trailer inspired me...gave me that feeling of wanting to see the bad guys get it, and after seeing the film, I can say I was not disappointed. The story moves along and does not step outside of itself. There are some intriguing plot twists, but the goal of revenge always remains. The performances are solid; we have experienced film actors and a director here who know what they're doing. Even the newer actors settle into their respective roles... John Singleton stated he wanted to do something with a "western edge" and in this film he has done just that. The story could be transplanted 100 years back and still work. While there is a great deal of action, violence, and bloodshed, it is not shot with an abundance of CGI or special effects...to that end, the action looks and feels more realistic. The film pulls you in and takes you for a nice ride, which is more than can be said of a lot of recent releases...It's not going to win Oscars, but it should be a hit.

Love this movie, I grew up in the ghetto and was a mix of Jack as the alternative outcast and Mark Wahlberg’s Bobby ready to beatdown,I am a small outcast but beat down guys twice the size of me, the only time I got my ass beat was when they attacked me from behind or I was outnumbered, I actually stopped some fights from being a crazy motherf*cka that the other guy or guys just walked away because they didn’t want to get into a fight with me, I would bash my head into a brick or stone wall to get ready for a fight and that scared them

Above The Rim with Tupac is about a basketball movie and 2Pac’s character name in the movie is Birdie and it’s true story and 2Pac plays as a guy name Haitian Jack a real street gangster who runes a basketball team in New York. Fun Fact: there was actually a 2Pac Body Double and he looks exactly like Tupac you wouldn’t tell who’s who and a movie actor name wood Harris who played in the movie he even said that thee was the body double played as Tupac in the movie cause Tupac got shot 5 times in New York during the movie and he had to deal with court cases and a rape charge but he got set up with the rape charge anyway so yeah that’s a fun fact about the movie and people be saying that the body double who played as 2Pac people say he is the one that got shot and killed in Vegas that night as 2Pac that’s just peoples different opinions about it so yeah there you go 😊😊😊

John Singleton. Plus I cam only recall one time he said that word and that was the bowling alley scene when he called the dude a house word. John Singleton not only directed it he also wrote it. Pretty sure John Singleton wrote Boys in the hood about his life growing up. So no I don't the once he said the word was doing that.
