8 titles is nice, but it’s nothing groundbreaking. Court won 24 titles in one season and Navratilova had nine CONSECUTIVE seasons in which she won 10 or more titles.

@@akizaizinskii Those were different times. Nobody will ever win 24 titles in one season. Physical- and intensity wise it's simply impossible. Navratilova #2 won't happen again. Iga's achievement is still extraordinary.

Well done Sabine, love YOU!!! It promises to be an interesting rivalry in the upcoming 2023 season between the older, more experienced generation and the youth. Świątek is under fire from all the competitors. Her game radically changed the level of women's tennis. Bravo for Ladies tennis.

Sometimes WTA rankings can be weird.. you see Samsonova with 3 titles and then Sakkari with a bunch of finals and then the latter gets to top 5.. she's a great player but still..

Not comparable. She won 2 250 titles which only brings her 560 points versus the semifinal of year end championship alone brings Sakkara 750 points.

2023 my predictions: Kontaveit will comeback to titles (yep PLURAL) Some kid will make a mess on tour (may be Brenda Fruhvirtova, Marcinko, Kasintseva...) Osaka will keep not caring for tennis

I'll play this too. My predictions for 2023 Swiatek will win at least one Grand Slam (propably RG) We'll see one youngster with a great results on tour, but also one of the experienced player with poor 2022 season will back to form (maybe even Muguruza) Sakkari will keep losing in finals Raducanu will still be more a celebrity than a tennis player

I think that the WTA should include 125 events on the actual tour, it would give us more tennis and encourage more viewership all year long

@@akizaizinskii First of all, WTA Finals in Fort Worth were extremely poorly planned so that does not count. WTA Finals in Guadalajara, Shenzhen, Istanbul, Singapore, were all a success, so its an isolated case. WTA 125 event would give us tennis matches and highlights all year long as they end until mid December, when the current 250's and 500's start picking up. There is a lot of demand for tennis and if the WTA and ATP promote it better it can be even bigger than it is now

9 is slightly larger than 8. There is no point in contrasting Swiatek. If you compare women's tennis in Poland and Russia, then, of course, Swiątek is a great player, but she is one. And I'm sure there will be a "board" for her.
