That stack of sub like HOLY SH*T! Those subs don't look nearly as big in picture as they look IRL or in video. They are huge and stacking two makes them look even more huge. I guess the bass is covered in this room, lol. Also the room itself look really nice. It's clean but with some features like the ceiling and beams and visible wood. Really nice. Also showing the gear is really nice too. Most dedicated theaters usually hide the equipment but I think spending huge amount of money and then hide the stuff is a waste. If I would nit pick the only thing missing is a big 2.35:1 screen.

My man. Yes D215s are particularly dense considering the dimensions. I'm finally happy with the look of the room as well, though I'm surprisingly happy with the image size @viewing distance. But yes I've always enjoyed seeing my speakers, even the used Klipsch gear back in the day.

Yes it's focused on HT and gaming. TV is surprisingly good too. Music would require different speaker placement and seating distances, but even as is, it sounds waaaaay better than anything I achieved in the main living room. I gave up because the wife demanded too much compromise.

Heeeeey stacking the subs changed the game again. It was just overtly violent. Concrete slab shaking like a suspended wooden floor. Post calibration everything is nice and tight and scary when it needs to be. Detail is still there in the infrasonics...just more...seems like much more than a 6db improvement. Hope that helps!

@@doyleshafer I mean I’ve been there had too many subs - I know it’s very easy to get there :). Quality over quantity - you have both. But definitely would recommend to get some nice reclining sofa or armchairs. One question: since it’s not living room and installation would be dead easy did it cross your mind to go with in wall speakers? It would be probably cheaper and better sounding mainly because of a thing called infinite baffle (your wall) - no reflections off the wall behind the speakers - more space, more flexible positioning (height wise)? Something like KEF CI3160rlm - considering close distance don’t think there is any need for ci5160rlm.
@brucecarter62053 ай бұрын
@@whitecrowuk575nonsense. You can never have too much headroom. I bet you with every subwoofer added to the room his performance has increased - I guarantee you it has. Also, in wall is always a compromise, always!🤦♂️
@whitecrowuk5753 ай бұрын
@@brucecarter6205 you have no clue my friend. Extra subwoofers don’t add to output unless stacked. It gives you uniformity across all sitting spaces. Having a sofa or couch you can handle with two subs easy. Perlistej subs have massive output and I don’t quite see a reason to stack those. I would bet with 2 max 3 subs he would have same outcome. Just needs to play a bit and compare.
@brucecarter62053 ай бұрын
What?! Do some research and quit spreading misinformation. Colocating/stacking will add 6db if they are placed within about 1/4 wavelength and minimum 3db when beyond. This goes for each doubling of subs, from 1 to 2, 2 to 4, and so on. The additional headroom means that the subs don’t have to work as hard, and this leads to less distortion and cleaner output. Spreading them around the room not only gives the added benefit of more overall output, but also helps to even out room response. Edit: the above is assuming same sub and same power. If you are mixing subwoofers with varying capabilities, this will also factor into the final result.

1:47 "she said great, I don't have to hear it"..........with the 'subbery' in that room, the wife is lucky the room treatment worked out.💀💀 A professional calibration expert might ask him to get rid of the subs at the back and get 4 more Perlisten subs for seamless integration. 😅 A hell of a lot of fun it must be in there.🙌🙌🦾
