These are so satisfying yet so frustrating at the same time. I just want to be able to see them transform but it’s impossible to keep track of all their parts most of the time.

Imagine having to be the guys who took care of the CGI. In the Optimus alleyway transformation there's well over 1k moving parts. Very VERY expensive film.

I love the use of Triple Changing in Bumblebee. The filmmakers did a great job figuring out how Shatter and Dropkick would utilize all three of their available modes effectively. Like at 15:23, they go from helicopter to car to smoothly land on the ground without losing excess momentum. And at 15:48, Dropkick runs across the wall in car mode to quickly circle around Bumblebee and square him down with his helicopter mode's turret.

Bumblebee strays away from the typical Bayverse scenery, and it really makes sense for Bumblebee’s overall character - he’s classified as a scout, where only his ingenuity can craft tools into weapons, and shouldn’t be the janky mess he is in the Bayverse It’s a love letter to G1 fans especially with the Cybertron scene and The Touch briefly playing, to the point where Bee turns to a beetle, and honestly is a film more on focusing on his character as a refuge of a planet unknown to him rather than being an all-out wreckfest, and I’m in love with The Bumblebee film

I love how with Bumblebee they incorporated a lot more of the G1 design elements; which in turn gives the bots bigger moving parts that are easier to track and don't make them look like CGI in a blender.

The only real issue I had with the Bayformers was the inconsistent transformations It's most noticeable with Optimus and Bumblebee

Yep left out for no reason and the random soundtrack pieces over top was unnecessary when the soundtrack in the scenes with the transformations would have been fine and the soundtrack pieces used for the bumblebee movie transformations was just the most unnecessary part especially because they aren't from bumblebee

I think it says a lot about movies 4 and 5 that I couldn't even remember any of their transformation sequences. something that I hear a lot is that the person in charge of ensuring the robot design could still be applicable to toys did not come back after the Dotm, which is why a lot of the toys were shellformers and why we had the KSI robots literally turn into particle effects for their "Transformations"

i think the transformations for the AOE and TLK movies are cheap since the autobots are smoother and less blocky so there is no use to put the robot parts in there, besides one character in TLK named Trench, he is the only one who looks and FEELS like a "first 3 movies" Transformer with his blocky proportions and no humanoid face
