I think the most underrated transformation is easily Skids and Mudflap at 4:43. Mudflap (the back half) tries to mimic Sideways’ sick transformation jump and instigates it when Skids (the front) isn’t ready for it, sending them both into a wall. You can actually see Skids’ legs fall out of his half of the truck and trail behind him since they probably didn’t need to transform to make a complete truck. The crash bends the plastic ice cream sign on Mudflap and his transformation coincidentally flexes it back into place. My favorite detail of all is how their alternate mode is so decrepit that Skids has to move some of the parts *by hand* if he wants to finish transforming.

Fun fact is that this movie basically made the MCU possible. Marvel wanted to make an Ironman movie for awhile but they could never figure out how to get the armor to look real enough until this movie came out and then they hired a bunch of the artists who worked on this to work on the armor scenes for iron man

Rise of The Beasts is a step on the right direction, it's just that a lot of you guys are lost in nostalgia of the old Bay films and by no means are they bad at all, it's just that the transformers lacked personality, especially the decepticons which they are viewed as just evil animals with an empty soul, and the movies were just made for everyone and barely for Transformers fans. Do we love each Bay film? I can proudly say yes in some ways, but when it boils down to a ton of placed Advertisements, Extremely Sexualized Women, and random Explosions going on, it turns into less of a Sci-fi/Fictional universe and more of a movie about mainly humanity and not much to do with Transformers. You guys can say anything negative about Steven Caple jr's movie but I will tell you one thing, the humans are more useful and fit the plot a lot better, even though they lack some charisma and chemistry like the Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox duo. Bay fans, be grateful and just move on. We're going all G1 purely this time around. And I say that having grew up on the Bay films as an introduction to transformers, that says a lot.

You forgot arcee and wheeljack transforming when Prime said "i will end you scourge" and another one of arcee transforming after Prime and Primal said "maximals, autobots, rollout"

A lot of people complain that you can’t really see the transformation clearly but that’s kinda the point, your brain just fills in the blanks of the transformation, especially from far away or close up or different lighting. Michael Bay’s cinematography also helps the vfx artists hide the renders well in case of Mass shifting or to help keep the cgi budget down

What I love is how Autobots have much slower, smoother transformations, whereas Decepticons are much sharper and more aggressive.

Personality of Optimus and Bee changed between BBM and ROTB. BBM Bee was a shy little boy and Optimus was like Bayverse Prime, a leader and willing to sacrifice. It all changed to being show off Bee and angry Optimus. Also Mirage is now the new Bee where he is the one with the human driver instead. but he ends up dying.

Alice was perhaps the creepiest transformer in the whole Bayverse

Man, the Reboot-verse really shows the decline in visual effects quality (though no fault goes to the VFX artists' themselves, you guys rock). Though that has more to do with the visual aspect of the films; love or hate him, Michael Bay has a distinct visual style that has become synonymous with Transformers in live-action, and the two Reboot movies lack that. Plus, some of the Transformations are inferior to the original series'. Like, even in Prime's famous Arrival to Earth moment in ROTB, his arm doesn't even become the side of his cab, it just rest there and it's replaced by the quick transition.
