The old ones had much more personality and uniqueness to them! Don’t get me wrong, these are very pretty looking and the animation/art quality improved, but it feels like every other magical girl transformation. I feel like they could’ve done what Sailor Moon’s reboot did and simply did the same transformation but with a few new touches and modern style and animation. For example, some things I liked in the old ones were Ichigo’s skirt poofing out like a strawberry, and her waving a ribbon that forms her pendant! Mint’s arms and body bending when her wings formed and more elegant ballet dancing not just striking poses. Lettuce’s clapping with her cymbols and leaping with her flowy white ribbons as the bubbles formed her clothes. Zakuro’s cool fire and her pupil’s getting smaller as she jumps at the screen. Pudding’s face lighting up by the pendant’s magic. I even miss the little DNA patterns in the background, and I don’t really care for the galaxy print to be honest--that said, I don’t really like Mint’s long hair, Zakuro’s ribbon ponytail, or Pudding’s extra braids and everyon’s bigger skirts? I feel like they made everyone really girly and cute which is fine but for characters like Mint and Zakuro, shouldn’t they be more fancy or cool? Idk this is way too much typing for a youtube video but oh well. Anyway, the reboot is good but the 90’s anime and manga og is my personal favorite! 💕

Honest I felt the same way. These are just generic magical girl transformations while the original was unique to every mew mew. I’m also not a fan of the new designs. The triangle thing okay I guess but it doesn’t really look good mixed in with Zakuro’s outfit especially. Also I hate that they gave Pudding just a dress like everyone else when she had adorable shorts I always loved her as a little girl bc I was a tomboy and didn’t like wearing dresses. Also I miss Zakuro’s hair down in her design too.

@@aqua7kh Yes I agree, especially about Pudding’s skirt and the strange triangle trim. I think it’s okay on Lettuce and Mint, but it looks strange on Zakuro and Ichigo

@Dim4323 The new manga, yeah! Not the old one the 90’s is based off. I will say in the new manga, Mint still has her short hair so yeah, I’m still not vibing with her new length. BUT, If I were to pick a new favorite for the reboot designs I’d say Lettuce! Especially, unlike Mint, her hair! I love her new style, it looks very formal and gives me Fluttershy feels lol 🫶 This new style is cute though, dont get me wrong. I just prefer the og 💕

The old transformations are nicer (except lettuces. She got an upgrade) but all the new outfits are better (except for puddings and Zakuros). But the plot and storylines of the new one is WAY better than the original especially since Ichigo is 16 here and not 12 ☠️

Still prefer the old trans (esp Ichigo her transformation here’s a bit suggestive - that’s an opinion from a girl) But the art is great, esp their arms and legs aren’t as thin as stick like in some magical girl anime

I don't personally see how it's more suggestive than the 2002 version, and in that one she's 12. At the very least they aged her up a bit in the new adaptation.

La transformation de Zakuro à toujours été ma préférée (j'adore le mouvement des cheveux quand elle atterie). C'est le cool avant le concept du cool. Cela dit, les nouvelles transformations ont augmenté d'un cran dans le mémorable et celle de letasu est superbe (même si les pas de flamenco me manquent), tellement gracieuse! Mais je trouve dommage d'avoir retiré la danse classique dans celle de Minto, c'était pourtant sublime.

I don't like it. They changed so much about the original charm in the outfits. Plus they don't fit pudding at all. SHE IS THE YOUNGEST MEMBER.

Some of the designs are a bit or miss. Zakuro’s was completely ruined while Mint’s was done very well. I feel like for pudding and Ichigo the layers were too much

I agree. I think their updated mew mew designs just got way too much going on for my taste. Mint,Zakuro, and lettuce's especially. The reboot itself is very adorable, but I feel like the artists tried way too hard to pile on the cuteness factor here. In the original, the outfits were simplistic but still cute. I miss Pudding 's pantsuit and Lettuce's leotard. They really added character and fitted their animal types.

Mew Mint is definitely the worst, they peaked with the og :/ Nevermind Pudding is just so odd, it's like they went with the more fluid animation with ichigo aned a bit with Zakuro but left Mint, Pudding and Lettuce out, I'm not even a fan of the original show but these just aren't that good imo

@@nikitamacinnis-tw8pxI’m pretty sure. I used to read the mangas . They changed it for the anime because the 2002 and the manga are different and the reboot follows the anime instead of the manga. Pudding was a Golden lion

Puddings transformation was an upgrade but her outfit sucks. I miss the fun little romper the poofy skirt doesnt suit her 5.5/10. Mint got done the worst imo. Her old transformation was so beautiful but the new one is so generic. Also not a fan of her longer hair or the dress. I think if she had feather details it would really sell the bird theme -3/10. Zakuros transformation ate shes mother 9.5/10. Lettuce....idk how to feel. The diving sequence is super cute but everything else feels so generic 5/10 ichigo....girl idk what to say. Her new outfit is the cutest but her new transformation is so forgettable 2/10

Agree with all you said! There is a charm to an original version and each girls outfit had a maching with an animal they are conected, Kiki ( pudding) wearing jumpsuit cuz she is a monkey( acrobat), Lettuce ( brigit) in leotard/one piece swimsuit cuz she is conected with water animal, Zakuro(Renee) cool and hot with her more mature look, Mint ( Corina) elegante as the bird, Icigo(Zoi)cute strawberry purr dress. And i liked backround more , it was right amount of sparkles, and shimmer to each girl ( feathers, bubbles ...elements that are conected with them)🩷🩵💚💛💜

@@Tici-iw1eb Yes I fully agree! One thing I will say is I believe Lettuce was quite young in the og, I think around 13-14? Not sure but I think the reboot took her swimsuit attire away and swapped it for a dress due to certain people getting angry at the “scandalous“ outfit. Also they aged her up in the reboot. However, I do actually like both reboot and og Lettuce’s outfits, she’s actually probably my favorite upgrade

@@Tici-iw1eb The version I watched, had Ichigo (Zoey) as 13, Minto (Corina) as 12-13, Retsaru (Bridgette) as 13, Purin (Kiki) as 11-12, and Zakuro (Renee) as 14-15!
