All-you-can-eat Udon, Tempura, Curry & Japanese buffet at a hotel restaurant in Shinjuku for only $8

I went to the lunch buffet at Gomaichi Shinjuku Gyoen branch, which opened in October 2023.
It is an all-you-can-eat buffet of Japanese and Western dishes including udon for an unlimited period of time.
The restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m., but there were already customers waiting in line before the store opened.
There are about 70 seats in the restaurant. I entered the restaurant as soon as it opened, but by 12:30 p.m., the restaurant was full.
When the freshly fried tempura runs out, it is replenished.
Udon, curry, and other Japanese and Western dishes are available, all of which are all-you-can-eat.
Ice cream for dessert is also popular, and on the day we visited, there were six kinds available for all-you-can-eat.
I had strawberry ice cream and green tea.
Everything is self-service.
Reservations are not required and you can easily go there, so why not have lunch with your neighbors?
I recommend it for those who want to eat as much as they can.
It is nice to be able to have all-you-can-eat lunch for only 1,280 yen in Shinjuku.

The chef and waitstaff at this restaurant were really helpful. In addition to that, the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

Wow this is insanely good value! All that variety for 1280 yen is a steal! And having Shinjuku park close by to get a walk in after a couple plates and bowls of udon is a winning pair!

It has been a while. Thank you for your comment. I too think the best itinerary is to have lunch at this restaurant and then go to the park. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a place to relax and feel the four seasons in Japan. Also, the Japanese garden is lovely.

⁠⁠@@aya_food_adventures Hi Aya! Yea I might not chime in as much, but I find time during the week to catch up on your videos. I’ve been trying my best to take a walk after each meal and it’s done a lot to manage my energy levels. Having Shinjuku Gyoen close by is an added plus, esp with a Japanese garden!

My coworkers and I are planning a trip to Japan next year in fall and I have been trying to learn Japanese in hopes that I can at least ask for directions if I get lost. Looking to go into the countryside this time but I’m still going to Tokyo and Kyoto and will definitely stop by a handful of these restaurants reviewed on your channel. Thanks again!
