Fabulous video - I found the history of the house particularly interesting. No one else in the community, or at least anyone I'm aware of, is putting this level of detail into their videos. I'm wearing Musc Ravageur right now- in the daytime! I wear it often in the daytime, but only for myself and not when I will be around others, and I would never wear it to work or when I am around people of whom I am not fond. I love it and do not want to be without it, as well, esp now as I am in the U.S. and facing more social isolation. I also really love Iris Poudre. I have list of ones I need to try to wear, namely L'eau D'hiver, Portait of a Lady, and Carnal Flower and I will get samples one day.

I blind bought POAL because of all the hype and I love it! Am testing it now and so far, at 2 sprays, I can still smell it at 12 hours. I have yet to try the other Frederic Malle perfumes but would definitely want to smell at least Musc Ravageur and Carnal Flower. I really want to smell and acquire at least one perfume per house that i like so I do not want to acquire too many in a house. Definitely appreciate these house reviews, please do more! :)

I personally own Carnal Flower and Portrait of a Lady. POAL can be hard for me to wear at times. I love it, but can be overwhelming for me, but a friend loved the way it smelled and projected. Carnal Flower, simply delicious. I definitely want to try Musc Ravageur next! ☺️

Oh, no, I didn't know Estee Lauder scooped up Frederic Malle, too ! They're like the Walmart and Amazon of cosmetics. They're a grossly large corporation, in my opinion. I find it distasteful that everyone appears to have a price and Lauder can pay it. :( (sorry, I just feel strongly about this subject.) I do love some of their scents, however. Vetiver Extraordinaire being at the top of my list, as well. Also love En Passant, Angeliques Sous La Pluie, Noir Epices, Musc Ravageur, Iris Poudree and Une Rose. I prefer the earlier creations, as always. ;)

Yup, I was very displeased with that decision. Mr Frederic Malle himself announced he’s leaving the company at the end of June 2024, and I believe claimed it was due to not being permitted to run the company the way he wanted and limitations to creative freedom. I just stocked up on more musc ravageur because of it… I think it’s safe to say it will all officially be over soon :(

Hello Clemance! Musc Ravageur and Portrait of a lady are my favorite from this house. Carnal flower is very feminine to my taste. For a Vetiver scent , i would go for eith Roja Vetiver or Amouage Beach Hut . I need to say that those fragrances perform beastly

My favourite that I've tried, no surprises Carnal Flower and my second favourite, can't remember the name but was made for this lady that her late husband had designed for her and FM took the formula and made it, beautiful story and the fragrance is equally as lovely. Portrait of a Lady blew my mind at first snif. So well made and blended, really good quality. Not my type but still I enjoy the work behind it. I have Lipstick rose that I really enjoy and Promise is on my wishlist. This one is so amazing. It took me by surprise 😉 I love Ellena's work here too. Coucou Clémence ! Waw a video on one of my favorite perfumes houses by you! Great!! I wanted to do a video about it for quite some time, but I am a bit frightened because it is a very rich house. (sorry if my English isn't perfect 😅 I hope it makes sense... Ce serait peut-être mieux en français 😅) My favorite is definitely Portrait of a lady, one of the first niche perfumes I've ever smelled ( and my favorite perfume of all time!!! Dominique Ropion is a perfume master!). But I also love Lipstick rose, Carnal Flower, En Passant, Cologne Indélébile and of course, Musc Ravageur. I still want to discover the other one, especially Iris Poudre, Angélique sous la pluie, le parfum de Thérèse, Vetiver extraordinaire and fleur de Cassie. I'm so glad you did this video!!! Un jour j’étais à l’hôtel Pullman à Paris et dans tout le hall de l’établissement je crois que je sentais le parfum Portait of a lady. Ça sentait vraiment fort et boisé. J’ai acheté le parfum et c’est exactement la même odeur qu’il vaporisait dans le hall. Dans le casino de Monaco il vaporise le parfum de Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. Certains parfums sont de vrais monuments.

MUsc ravageur is one of my favourite; but try it because it will either suit your skin chemistry and will smell very nice, or it won’t and you’ll hate it

@@JD1992i yes, I have heard that MR is very dependent on skin chemistry and a polarizing fragrance. I would never blind buy something as expensive though. Just odered a few FM samples and MR is amongst them, can't wait!

@@JD1992i ok, having sampled it I really really like this. In the drydown it smells to me like one of the parts of Shalimar (the vaguely leathery-dirty vanilla component), minus the baby powderyness with added cinnamon. Not sure if I can justify buying this when I already own Shalimar but it's a good one!

£160 - £180 for 100 ml for most of them ... that's enough to make your credit card provider weep! Twice the price of Hermes and Chanel. Some are £240 for 100 ml. Are you sure about this? You could keep Merlin in champagne and buy his lettuce in Harrods for that kind of price point! I know it isn't Creed crazy price levels but ... !

Yeah but they are good and incredible ingredients used so I dont mind purchasing !
