This chair might work for some, but it didn't work for me. It cost $118.28 to return the chair, I was refunded the rest. More details at : all33.com/

Frankly, I love the chair. I do have to have something under my feet but after a couple weeks of use, my back feels so much better. Yes, you'll be sore while your back adjusts. You have been sitting wrong for a long time. But I am a real person, real customer, really happy with the chair. To each their own.

I mentioned in the video that All33 quoted a return would cost $200 to $300. I asked them to schedule everything to return the chair, and they had UPS pickup the boxed up chair a few days later. It cost me $118.28 to return the chair (from San Jose, CA), and I was refunded the rest. A lot of money but not as bad as expected.

I saw this video about one hour after placing my order. I immediately emailed ALL33 asking if they could please cancel my order. Unfortunately, they said they could not, but did tell me to go ahead and refuse the shipment. They’d refund me my total cost if I did that. The chair arrived very quickly, just three days after placing my order. I weighed out refusing but curiosity got the best of me. I very carefully unpacked it, fully expecting to be re-packing it for return (at my cost, I knew). All I’ll say is that I’m SO GLAD they didn’t cancel my order. I’m 59 years old and have sat in a LOT of business chairs over the years. I’ve never experienced the comfort I get from this chair. It’s amazing, and I’m thrilled with it. They’d have to send armed guards to get it back now.

That's great, I'm super happy it worked for you! My video was to share my experience because I was unable to find anything on KZfaq that actually wasn't from the company itself. You should consider recording a quick video after a few weeks of usage to help others make a decision.

@@DavidLongo22 Yeah its really too bad so few people can try them out in a store first, though, as I said, the problems usually arise after sitting in them for a few hours and not many stores will tolerate that. At least returning a chair to a local store will save you a mountain in shipping costs though. But they use that to their advantage. If it costs a lot to return people will try to make the best of it and later just sell it locally so they don't have to disassemble it for shipping. I heard Costco stocks them so maybe that's an option for some people. I'm surprised there aren't any knockoffs on the market yet. Because you know that's coming. Seems like a very simple concept. A swivelling seat with a fixed back. Get me a 3D printer! Or aluminum angle and some scrap parts from other chairs.

This is a great video, showing ROM, good points and bad points. Sorry your experience wasn't the best, but I think it will save some (like me) the hassle of investing this much money into something that isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Thanks for the video! I just got it and while I don’t mind the lower lumbar support from the bucket seat (kinda the whole gimmick of the chair) I do feel the same pressure and pain on the bottom/outer sides of my buttocks/thighs. Gonna give it a week see if it fades but good to know it’s not just me. A sore butt is not worth the chair.
@AthleticPerformanceConsultant3 жыл бұрын
The most important concept here is that the seat bucket will move forward with you while helping support some extension of your lumbar spine. In other words there is allowable motion that will not occur in a stationary chair. Just how you adapt to and use that concept may require some training. Most people are tending to “ the cradle position” you refer to and rounding of the lower back. This among other things leads to progressive shortening of some muscles and shutting down of your gluts. Sitting, however you slice it leads to significant wear on your body and the spine seated and flexed forward is indeed the worst position for us to sustain. It is critical to be able to vary and change positions throughout the work period. This is indeed a work chair that I believe encourages a certain amount of that positive load variance. I would caution against the “comfort chair” that will show its consequences when you return to weight bearing. I do believe the new generation of the chair is addressing some of the issues you pointed out .

If you have been slouching for so long, trying to do the right posture does become painful at first. Definitely something you need to get used to. I slouch often and whenever I try to correct my posture, it feels awkward, to say the least. As for the pinching caused by the chair on your thighs, I can see that’s a design fault as the part where you sit has quite some sharp edges, and cushioning won’t save that because the thighs will just keep pressing against that sharp edge. I am considering buying this chair because of my lower back pain. The swiveling motion to push forward the lower back does make as that’s what lumbar support pillows are intended to do. But I want to see first how it’s been for people who have used it, especially with the other design cues the chair has. That pinching on the thighs is a good point and I know how uncomfortable sitting on chairs like that could become.

I've been using the "Kneeling Chair by UPLIFT Desk" for the past few weeks since returning the Backstrong Chair and it feels much better for my posture. My formula is Kneeling Chair for 40 mins, Standing for 10-20 mins. Repeat. Then sometimes when work permits chill on a coach with my laptop for while during the day.

Have you tried the Comfi Life cushion with it? You can look it up and see the design. It has been a back saver for me and my husband. I bet that cushion could be placed in the chair and solve the hamstring pain. He has poor posture to begin with, so it would definitely feel strange for him to sit with good posture.

I recently got a refurbished one and it came REALLY beat up - for $550, I expected maybe lightly used, but this was VERY scratched up, deep groove, bent bottom, and the box was really beat up as well. It should be called used and abused. Don't invest in that, just get the new one if you want to try it.

other reviewer seem to either paid or want to be paid by saying good things about this chair, or have never try other ergonomic chair. i mean with that price you can get a herman miller or steelcase chair that has already been proven on relieving back issues for years. even though this concept sounds cool the product looks like a prototype at most
