I was having an issue with the manual crank falling out of the Fan-Tanstic RV roof vent. I took it apart and found the issue. Hoping this might help someone else with the same issue.

Darn it. Wished I watched this video before unsuccessfully taking my fan apart and in frustration putting it all back together. This will be my issue too. Thanks for a great video

Thank you for this. I ordered the whole new part, then found this video. I fixed it with your help / video too! Much appreciated!!!! Right around 1:27 you can see once you screw in that piece where maybe the factory hammered in the outside so it won’t back out. Forget the word “wedged” it? Anyways I used blue gel loctite and wedged it with a punch to inhibit it from backing out anymore when you rotate the handle counter clockwise. It’s working now and if it happens again I’ll use red loctite! Haha. Thanks for your time and video!

Accidentally bent the lift arm on mine and now it won’t close all the way. My problem was different, none the less, your walk through helped me see the guts and what to do to replace that lift arm mechanism. Cheers mate! Happy travels

My fan works my fan works fine but I fear that the plastic crank that I used to open and close it will go bad and I will be stuck with it open or stuck with the clothes. I'm looking to replace all plastic parts with metal. The metal base Daisy clamp the metal base Daisy crank looks good. Thanks. Thanks.

I have the same problem. A thousand curses on fan-tastic fan for not using something like loctite on the outer threads to keep them from unscrewing. What I want to know is, what is the part number or description of that "wrench thing". Where did you get it?
