Kudos to Channel 4 for such an amazing ident set! I love the fact that the seaside scene had the original launch date as read in the bottom left of the screen, before seeing the C4 logo with the original 1982 colours in another scene.

A great little nod to its launch date, But also the fourscore sound from launch was brought back with the giant the past few years, which was also a nice touch

I absolutely love this new ident package. It’s modern, but familiar, and I think it’s great. What a way to pay tribute to over 40 years of Channel 4 as well. Probably the best ident package currently on TV at the moment. Well done Channel 4! 👏

I also notice an easter egg on the ident at 1:21 that November 2, 1982 at 3:41PM is the day when Channel 4 began broadcasting.

In my view better than the giant idents but the original 80s ident against a black background is still my favourite. Childhood memories and all that lol.

I really like this film short by C4. It shows us life in contemporary Britain. Gritty, witty and unapologetic. This is home.

Very, very interesting. So on brand it hurts. Absolutely bloody brilliant, all of it. The references to C4s origins are particularly lovely. I'm not usually a fan of spoken word poetry either but I actually enjoyed that element too - it all fit so perfectly.

Fantastic job with this new set, Although with the giant it would have been nice to see some new locations with it during its run, A missed opportunity there. These are great though and can totally see where its going with the altogether different. It works really well. Well done channel 4 and the creative team behind this.

Nice new set of idents. All the channel 4 idents have been good. From the original blocks idents to the big giant 4 to these new idents. 40 years of channel 4. I hope they have a 40th anniversary showing the classic shows such as classic Brookside, Treasure Hunt
