Get rid of the rotten fruit in the leadership at Te Pati. They are spoiling the rest of the people who are genuinely doing good things for the people. I have no doubt there has been breaches made, the last 4 years have seen people going mad with greed and power and it must stop now.

I saw corruption and inappropriate spending in some of the Maori Health Trusts I worked with over the last 20 years.. But the worst thing was when confronted, or even asked for appropriate data (which was required contractually) by funders, the would shut down communication or aggressively respond with 'that the request was an attack on their mana'. Sad because most of the workers on the ground have big hearts.

Interesting question for me is, according to Brian Tamaki, he was the first to notify the Police, electoral commissioner and other areas about the TPM alleged fraud but was ignored. Surely there are significant questions to be asked of those people he allegedly sent the info to?

Allan Holse is right to be worried about Luxon sending in the Commission to investigate, they’re not genuinely independent and it’s akin to anyone marking their own homework. Expensive ineffectual window dressing, taxpayer’s money being wasted - again.

To advocate for removing the leadership means that some people want to retain the structure. Why? Is it to allow future dodgy activities to be instituted under a different guise? Race based structures inevitably self distruct. It is necessary to move to real democracy now.

I hope this enquiry won’t be like the wine box enquiry that Winston promoted back in the day where the terms of the enquiry was not about whether the law was broken and by who but was did the IRD know about it. No one was ever going to be prosecuted or held to account, it was basically an election platform for Winston Peters.
