Update: they added Allay duping to 1.19.1. If you want to see an old idea on how to get more, read my comment below. It isn't perfect, but some people liked the idea. I know it isn't likely to be added, but imagine if you could cure vexes to make allays. It wouldn't have to be cheap, but it would make sense. Maybe with glistering melons instead of golden apples? I don't know. Just something to encourage more farming. Maybe a golden cookie? Maybe the golden cookie would be similar to golden carrots?

@@JoeEnderman More pie and cake variants are definitely necessary. I would also want the cake crafting recipe changed to not include three buckets of milk. Maybe in addition to the ones you mentioned, apple pie and even a glow berry cake or something?

I think that’s the lore of the allay is the opposite of what you said. If the Evoker’s went out into the world and captured allays to eventually turn them evil, then you’d be able to find allays elsewhere. But things you can only find them where evokers are, it’s likely that during their vex summoning process, some of them turned out nice, and as a result they are in prison for their nicety.

When i saw the ally and its function with noteblocks, I immediately imagine in my head how useful it would be to pick up blocks when im Terraforming. Instead of going and leaving to the chest to leave the blocks I mined, the ally can do that annoying and inventory-consuming task. That’s why I think it’s useful, adding that is something that I’ll always “have” to do in minecraft.

First: Ally despawning. With villagers you can mass produce everything. Nametags cost 9 ems if you cure a zombie villager, so in my world (and potentially in others) is not hard to unable the ally to despawn Second: copper golem being more useful. To the minecart to be useful I need to add more rails progressively, and if not, the problem would be the same as having chests near u. And why would i need a golem to press a button that i can already press myself?

I hope that I will be able to use the alay to separate out smeltable armor/tools from non-smeltable armor/tools. Mob grinders could help gather some nuggets easier

@@amberhynes1131 allays are limited so a farm is impossible unless they add a breeding system or natural spawning at a specific place, like a lush cave Plus you can just trap evokers for unlimited vexes, not that they drop anything worth making a farm out of.

I actually like that it is more general, as someone who has built a big item sorting system it would be cool to just shove all my granite diorite and andesite into a single chest or have an allay sort all the 8 wood planks into one chest instead of having a separate cell for each type, same for terracotta, leaves, concrete, stained glass, this would be a huge space saver!

The Allay should be breedable or when given a certain item, summons some friends. Maybe you could click on them with an enchanted book to start a summoning (would need to be a specific enchantment found inside the woodland mansion or outpost)

I don't think you should use the word "breedable" am far as an concern the allay is certainly ghost(aka a soul) and I am sure ghost(soul) can't be breed cause they aren't even there to begin with its a soul not to sound rude or anything

@Мамонт I agree farms are op but they are by no means easy to build,raid farms take hours to make you have to transport a villager which requires 100s of rails. It takes 1 to 2 shulker boxes full of magma blocks depending on the gold farm you choose.Although the last one is definitely very op.

I think they should spawn currently but also very rarely spawn in the dark forest so occasionally you may see one flying about and more will spawn eventually and in existing chunks

For the warden, I think what they should do is make a new potion effect that disables the players ability to place and break blocks. All of the easy ways to cheese the warden involve either placing and breaking blocks (think of towering, tunneling, water and lava, trapping the warden). I even have lore for the effect. The player gets so scared that they forgot how to build (lol).

"Clumsiness" is another good one, it makes you drop your tool or block when you try to break or place blocks. I know you can still punch blocks but it'll take longer.

maybe if you crouch-right click an allay holding an item with a cookie, it will be category based instead of specific item based.

I'm so serious. When I was younger, TU12 was the most hype update for me and I haven't been as hyped for an update since. Because I love building, upside down stairs and slabs were the best things ever. Don't take those features for granted.

Theory: the Allay and the Vex are the same thing it’s just the pillagers told an Allay to find the hearts of their enemies and they took it literally and became killing machines known as the Vex

I always thought that pillagers were figuring out how to create life. Which is why witches help out, they also have healing capabilities with potions which is helpful to pillagers. My head cannon is that the player was created by pillagers successfully reviving a zombie using totems of undying, and I think the allay could be an example of the pillagers being successful in reviving a vex

Building on this theory, the Pillagers likely thought that reviving a Zombie was a failed experiment (the 5 minute wait for a Zombie Villager to transform into a normal Villager after curing also took effect on the normal Zombie the Pillagers revived, they saw the zombie shaking but otherwise thought it didn't work) so they dumped the cured zombie at some random place, and by the time 5 minutes was up, the Pillagers had already left

Illagers are having shadow pacts with undead and alongside them try to slaughter us and pacifistic villagers without prior aggravation. In addition to that, their entire society is composed of trained warriors who cannot be reasoned with in any way and frequently conduct offensive operations - in contrast to another warrior culture, barter-eager piglins that keep to their own territory. Illagers are servants of death, not seekers of life, and potions and totems they have are just countermeasures to getting taste of their own usual medicine - acupuncture with arrows, bloodletting with sword and lobotomy with an axe. If Allays are anything then they are a failure of illagers to corrupt a helpful creature into killing machine known as vex - there is a reason why they keep the former locked up in cages and prisons while the other are let loose in middle of combat, frequently in direct proximity of other illagers.

New things that are added to Minecraft CAN spawn in your existing world but not in chunks that you've already explored. Meaning if you find a brand new mansion/outpost that has never been loaded in before they should spawn saying your in the proper version, hope this helps 😊

Incorrect. New blocks won't generate but new mobs can still spawn if the biome is still the same.

They spawn in a specific room in the mansion and only in certain cages around outposts, so unfortunately, if its already generated, your structures will never contain allay.

Lore wise, I'm pretty sure allays and vexes are souls of villagers their using for experimentation into cheating death (let's not forget villagers are one of the few mobs who can hold items in their hands). Maybe the vex is some the correct form of an allay or a final transformation of them. Edit: One thing I didn't even consider is that the word "allay" means dimish or put at rest (fear, suspicion, or worry)... I'll let that feed into the lore a bit more.

I personally believe that rather than Volkers capturing allays, And turning them into vexes, I think that when they’re summoning vexes, some of them turn out to be allays and so they’re imprisoned due to their uselessness to the pillager cause.

I wouldn't like a joystick, I prefer the arrow buttons. And I have no problem with double tapping to sneak or run. But I am glad they made it an option to keep the old controls.

I think for Pocket Edition players, there should be a button in the menu where you can choose to turn on and off the new controls like how you can turn on and off Split Controls because for some people it would be like learning new controls. This seems really unrealistic, but it would be nice for some players.

@@llamacrazy4187 if they were to spawn in villages the same way iron golems do, then you could “farm” them by creating an artificial village and funnel them into a certain are similar to an iron farm (just without the killing). But if they were to spawn in a village the same way they spawn in outposts and mansions, then you couldn’t farm them

Honestly like that if picks all of them up you can easily build a filter system for those it takes barely more resources honestly the hardest thing to get will be the iron but again it only takes like 3 more Hoppers so you should be able to afford that if you're building a farm

Because you can spam tap without doing less damage in bedrock which allows to deal more damage so it needs to be stronger to match perfect

I think the lore with the ally is that when vexs were summoned some of them came out peacefull instead of soldiers so the pillagers found them as traitors so they locked them up so that they wouldn’t betray the pillagers.

When it comes to the new controls on phones/tablets they're better than the original (which is admittedly a low bar) I personally think the jump and crouch buttons should be swapped with the sprint and use item buttons (keeping the location the same) although the perfect solution would be to add a controls editor in the settings so you can do what you'd prefer.

7:00 I haven't played with the new touch controls yet but I've been wanting a simulated joystick forever, it's so much better than buttons (if it works the same as one on a controller). And even better than that is having SEPERATE "left click" and "right click" controls, because the fact that opening a door and accidentally punching a villager or bee are currently the exact same control is just as frustrating as you can imagine

I was really hoping the Warden would be able to jump high and grab you, and pull you out of small spaces. When the Warden spawns in, I wanna be able to shiz my pants! Mojang claimed the Warden's a natural disaster? They should make it feel like one then. I don't play around.

I feel like you should be able to convert phantoms into the allay. You could use lapis to do this, and it would make the phantom more useful as a mob.

That would be really cool! I really wish that would be the case, the only problem is that the allay is clearly much more related to a vex than a phantom. But yeah something like that needs to be a feature to give phantoms a purpose

@@BuhUhNuhUh The phantom is almost as useless as you, so it would make the allay easier to get, and give the phantom a use. The fact that the allay clearly has a connection to illigers means that lapis would be the best for that. It could also mean that phantoms could attack the allay when it's visible to them.

@@araynick8577 The point is that allay is vaguely humanoid with separate arms, wings and proportional head on top. Phantom is larger, more similar to bats or manta rays with flat head in the front.

The reason why this is not only an option for an organic sorting machine but why it would be the best addition to Minecraft sorting machines ever: Right now we can't sort different unstackable items, which sucks. With these fella's we could sort flameable from non-flameable items and all non-stackable items. This would be so great for big multi-farm builds with huge sorting machines.

I'd like to see the Allay tie into the Warden somehow; there is just something about the Warden's "heart" that makes me think of ghosts and soul-magic, and I'd like to see that developed on. Maybe the Deep Dark could be a source of renewable Allays? (I'm imagining putting a diamond block in the "portal" would turn it into an Allay after some time, but maybe something else) I'd also like to see Allays be transported via glass bottles!

In context of lore, I believe the Allay is a baby Vex. It’s smaller, has shorter wings with less tips, it’s brighter, and maybe hasn’t had the chance to be taught it’s ideology of evil.

I saw someone burn a Pillager Outpost down with a flint and steel, run in and loot the chest while it burned, and escape without having to fight a single Pillager. I think that's a really good way to tackle one in survival, plus, with the tower gone, you can turn the site into a Pillager farm.

I can definitely see myself recruiting allays to help out with my tree farms. I'm rarely in the mood to clear out all the leaves or wait for them to fully decay, so the allays could collect all the dropped saplings, sticks, and apples while I focus on other things.

Only thing that hurts the Allay right now is it's spawning mechanics. what ever small use it could have isn't worth how hard and limited it's available is.

I like how Minecraft's lore is all vague enough that you can kind of create your own connections, it's fitting with the sandbox style of Minecraft IMO. The Allay is the first mob they've added to the game in a long time that I'm legitimately excited for!

Hello toycat, not sure if you'll read this but don't you think that the allay could be somehow incorporated in the deep dark? Maybe the Ancient cities? Especially seeing how they glow, they could really set a spooky ambiance. They levitate so they aren't detected by the warden, plus they are sensitive to sound so that could explain how they navigate in the darkness. The lore aspect is what excites me since they resemble a lost soul. Especially since they help the player for no apparent reason. Souls of the inhabitants of the ancient cities maybe? Either way, I think that would be a great idea. Anyone else?

If the stone variants are close enough to be gathered together by the Allay then they're close enough to be used in place of stone in recipes. Not being able to make tools or furnaces out of blocks like andesite or granite is a pretty silly restriction in a game where we can use wood for much of the same purposes; Wood that already works this way between species, Giving you the same tool with the same qualities regardless of the wood type used. Removing the necessity of regular stone in an area could allow for much, Much more diverse biomes above and below ground.

Minecraft could change the touch controls to make them invisible or translucent. That would be the easiest fix for those who don't wish for the display to be obscured.

I feel the Allays function now is good I already have a use in my world for it that isn’t a sorter and to be honest I have 2 also for the slow farms that are a nightmare to pick up the items from a allay will be amazing , i do think that the allay should be able to be breed them for so it’s easier to get more and when a bug happens that deletes them you don’t have to go get more

I think as it is right now, the Allay is good as it is, though here are some ideas I think could help improve the Allay: -Some sort of way of taming them, or after giving an Allay an item it would be able to teleport to the player that gave them the item, unless the Allay is tuned to a specific Note Block. -Some sort of way to use different pitches and instrument noises of Note Blocks to tune only one or a few Allays to one Note Block, that way there could be multiple Note Blocks in one area without confusing the Allays. -Some sort of a way to make new Allays, whether that be through breeding, curing/purifying a Vex, or simply some sort of Allay spawner in the Woodland Mansions. -Improving the AI of the Allays so that they avoid dangers like lava and cacti.

Just started the video, but if they want precise control maybe the Allay can have a mode for getting the exact item, and another mode for getting similar items like stone, cobblestone, andesite, cobblestone stairs, etc.

I wish the copper golum won the mob vote because of how cool the copper button could have been. It could have different timings depending on how rusy it is and the statue mechanic was pretty epic.
