Quincy, you are right about the TV. This room is the second bedroom for a 2 bedroom villa. That is why the TV is so small. You really do not get a true sense of Old Key West in this room. The 1 bedroom villa has so much more to offer and show. It has a full kitchen, washer, dryer, soaker tub, king sized bed and pull out couches with a huge TV in the living room. Hope to see a video with those as well. We love this resort!

Absolute favorite place to stay. Took my kids there when they were little so I am totally biased because it brings back so many great memories ❤️

I love Quincy's honesty with these resort tours. I giggled when she got a little lost, i think we've all done that at some point at a Disney resort.

I am quickly becoming accustomed to these once a week resort tours. I love them! They are really thorough! I hope you are able to make your way back through a few of the resorts once you finish to show different room types or things that were missed the first time around.

We loved this resort! We had our first ever trip to DisneyWorld in September of 2019 and stayed here. Loved how easy it was to walk around, we were off Old Turtle Road too!

The Table you were unsure about was a Bumper Pool table!! Love the Hotel Tours as always. Anyway you could do One on the Swan Reserve as well as The Regular Swan. You Did one on the Dolphin, but didn't really cover the other ones!!!

We always called that type of pool table bumper pool? Not sure if that’s the official name. But my grandparents had one in their basement.

I completely understand using Bojangles as a reference to how good a biscuit is. I still haven't found a good key lime dessert on property, mostly because they tend to be more sweet than tart, which appeals to a wider audience. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The best thing about AllEars is how Q judges biscuits based on Bojangles. I’m from NC as well so I’m just gonna go w her standard for fried chicken, BBQ n biscuits. Now we just need to know where her favorite sweet tea is 😍

OKW is absolutely my favorite WDW resort. I’m a DVC member with SS and WL being my home resorts. I would choose to stay at OKW over both of my home resorts every time if I could. The rooms are more spacious. The grounds are tranquil and gorgeous. I always ask to be back at Turtle pond area. I’ve walked to DS from there. The only minus I would give OKW is restaurant options. When we stay in a 1-2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen that doesn’t matter. A standard room kitchenette is nice but more restaurant options at the resort would come in handy.

Everytime I went to Disney I would always come here because it was always so nostalgic

Thanks Quincy! Great job as always. I have to say I was pretty shocked at how small this studio was. I'd never seen one before. The villas at Old Key West are so huge, so seeing that studio was really surprising. We're DVC members but usually stay in 1 or 2 BR villas. We definitely won't be booking one of these studios.

Thank you for the DVC rental tip. I didn’t even know that was a thing and now I’m planning my next vacation completely different! OKW seems like an overall solid place and I stayed there as a kid and loved it. If using points can save a ton of money it might be worth the cons for sure :) between this and wilderness or AK.

Definitely greatly improved tour of a DVC resort room. Appreciate that you highlighted the differences. Old Key West is probably my least favorite DVC resort rooms for many of the drawbacks you highlighted. FYI- Grand Floridian DVC villa rooms (at least 1 bedroom and above) also offer the aloe gel.

My family loves OKW. This is our home whenever we visit Disney. DVC members but this is not our home site. We get a 2 bedroom. Full kitchen and laundry. Saves on food and packing. Hopefully will be there in December.

We were pixie dusted from a studio to a 2 bedroom last year. It was so nice! The bus rides there are very long though.

I have not visited this one yet but I definitely want to. You inspired me to visit French Quarter in February and I loved the ferry ride. I think I’m going to start trading my Disney Springs Day for a resort day at Port Orleans or Old Key West! Disney Springs is too crowded for me.

The corn and green beans we have tasted have been surprisingly good around Disney.

I ate at Olivia’s my last stay there. Absolutely recommend the fried chicken. For a dessert, I recommend the bananas Foster bread pudding.

OKW is a personal favorite. Probably because we’ve been DVC since it opened. But I have to agree on the studio rooms: meh. OKW really shines at the 1 bedroom and up. Those rooms are massive; no other DVC compares. And Quincy nailed it about the general store; best DVC shopping on property.

Appreciate your walk thrus and a plus is how quick you speak instead and get to the point instead of dragging it out like a lot of vloggers. Also you pan out a lot which gives us the full idea of what its like to be there (instead of a lot of ceiling shots or close up shots from the other one of these from your partner). Now that all the rooms are UPDATED and REFURBISHED how about another review!

Stayed in a one bedroom here with my wife; easily one of the nicest rooms on Disney property. Huge--around 1000 sq feet--and beautiful. Great balcony with a dining table for four, overlooking the golf course and lake. Private kitchen with all amenities, laundry room, Jacuzzi tub, just fantastic. All that being said, there are some things about this resort that keep me from giving it a perfect 10. Location--it is a bit far from everything, and the only option for transport is the bus. this is a very large resort; it has 5 bus stops. We quickly learned to go the the first stop for the buses, or by the time it got to the nearest stop to us (the 5th stop, of course) the bus was often completely full. Dining--One restaurant. And you better have a reservation, because Olivia's is a great place to eat. People will drive over from other resorts for their chicken--which is well worth it--and be warned that it is the only place on the property, besides a small food window, and some great bars. Can't say those two issues are enough to disqualify this beautiful hotel--really feels peaceful and secluded, a great plus after a busy day.

Can't say enough about A) Transportation, because we found out long ago that driving our own car is best. But even if you rent a car, driving is better than the busses. And we do, so that's not a negative for us. And B) Dave's point rental. It will pretty much cost you half off price when you go through Disney. HALF off! We are also a family who greatly appreciates the Calm and peace of OKW after park days. So, for us, this resort is perfect.

We are thinking of going to Olivas when we are at Disney. How long does it take to get there from the parks? Thanks

Definitely seems like the whole resort is WAY overpriced, so that the Disney vacation club members *think* they're getting a good deal when they use their points, but in actuality their money would have been much better spent paying directly for a nicer room in an updated resort (even more so off-site)

Quincy. Great video. But I recommend you double check the “perks” for staying at a DVC hotel I am a long time DVC member. It’s been very hard even for DVC members to get reservations the past year. So recently I used David’s DVC rental to rent points I called DVC about what DVC perks are included when renting DVC points The DVC cast member told me the perks of free parking etc are linked to the DVC points used. NOT linked to the room Thus renting DVC points you do get those perks but simply paying for a DVC Hoyle room like any other hotel you do not get those perks Can you double check that??? Thank you!

For the parking it’s if you are not staying on dvc points you have to pay, you can be renting the points and get that dvc perk. Should really be more clear about that when providing the information.

OKW is my home resort and has been since 1992. I can't even look at that lobby now. They have absolutely destroyed it! I'm paying high dues right now and this is best that they could do? 😡

We sat at that table this past December. However, we thought breakfast was rather bland and dull. Nothing special. Server was lacking any energy. That experience makes me think it’s a one and done restaurant.

The studios tend to be the 2nd bedroom in a 2 bedroom lock off. That’s why tv is small, room under themed. I’ve stayed at okw tons and your view is the worse I’ve seen there!

I watched this review, Saratoga Springs and Riviera Resort. I don't think OKW or SSR is for me. I don't like the rooms or the internal bus system. Riviera has much more appeal.

I adore OKW wishing I could jump into the screen and be there. Olivias is wonderful so delicious.

OKW…I would rather be locked in a Walmart with no clearance aisle…I have to do low key remodeling every time on that BLIND. It gaps. If you know what I mean, like this. I travel with a duct tape roll in suitcase🤜🏽I do like the 24 hrs pools and tubs u can only get in the DVC resorts.

Disney has gotten shockingly expensive for what looks like no reason at all aside from pure greed and mismanagement. Any value or reason for staying on property is gone. And now the poor families trying to have their once in a lifetime vacation are being forced to make up the difference for all of leaderships botched moves as of late. Disney has lost its way and it's so far from Walt's vision is almost disrespectful for the company to portray otherwise.
