Allentown can be more than you bargain for when you least expect it. It’s no Camden or Jersey City but I dare you to take a walk anywhere between Front & Tilghman to 15th & Walnut alone at night. The people saying it’s soft will realize quickly how severely they underestimated Allentown. Nice video my man, keep them coming.

fred smith the year just started n two people just got killed at a gas station in Allentown like my comment above says if you lookin for trouble you gotta walk certain blocks
@rovingwarrior37106 жыл бұрын
The year started over two months ago but what does that have to do with it? People can get killed at anytime, anywhere. I was just making the point that I looked up the homicide stats for Allentown after seeing this vid and it's only averaged about one per month, if even that much for the past ten years or so and that's not very many where I come from, or in a lot of other places. And the homicide rate there, which is based on it's population is still low. But that isn't anything to be ashamed of, those who live there should be relieved that the murder rate isn't as high as it is in a lot lot of other places, I know that I wouild be.
@g_inactiveaccount6 жыл бұрын
Yea the homicide rate is super low plus the Lehigh Valley is such a wonderful place to live however the crime rate is super high a lot of theft robbery rape assault and drug crime. Somebody my friend knows had their car stolen from the 7-11 and the city is generally trashy

I actually like it, seems peaceful & clean. It's a shame that we have a government in place that agrees to trade deals that suck entire industries and manufacturing jobs right from out of our country into the hands of others abroad. These small towns and cities would be in MUCH better shape had that not been the case.

As far as PA cities go, The only two cities (out side of Philly and Pittsburgh of course) where you will see the "gangs/drug dealers/hood/boarded up homes" type stuff are Harrisburg and Reading (Harrisburg looks just as bad as Philly/Pitts bad parts). Chester is really bad but I consider that to be more in the Philly Metro. Scranton, Allentown, Erie ect. all have their rough areas but noting that will make your jaw drop.

I often run the beautiful lehigh parkway, and would rate most of allentown safe. Like most cities, you just don't wander certain areas alone at night. I wouldn't trust Allentown. Used to be a delivery driver for a business located in Bethlehem. One night I was having issues with a customer, business wise. Guy comes behind me and starts arguing telling me to move (I'm in a spot where there's literally nowhere to park and he could have went around the block) and he was threatening to shoot me. Another guy wanted to fight me because I wouldn't give him his order because he didn't have ID. I needed to scan to finish the delivery and before he let me tell him I could get the ID item removed, he started yapping away and I walked away with my manager on the phone. Both incidents happened late 2019. But yeah, nothing to really be worried about. There are plenty of shootings but nothing really more than incidents that were instigated/targeted.

@TheTruthQuest123 You may have a problem finding a city with 60,000 or less ppl. I'm in Philly and I think Philly has over 1,000,000. But there are tons and tons of mechanic jobs here. Philly is a blue collar city. But the ppl will take sometime to get used to. Compared to down south the ppl up north are a tad bit rough around the edges and do not give southern hospitality. We have a chip on our shoulders. Esp Philadelphians. As for safeness stay out of North Philly. Northeast Philly is still nice with single homes in some parts. I live in the far northeast. I'm about a mile before the city ends. Good luck. Hopefully you come to the city of brotherly love. Some neighborhoods in Philly that are still nice are Bridesburg, Port Richmond, Fishtown, Morrell Park, Parkwood and Fox Chase to name a few.

I wanna go to cedar crest college in Allentown but I heard that Allentown is dangerous 😬
@Boces19883 жыл бұрын
Most Allentown is good. Cedar crest is in a great area, I live right by it. Its really quiet here. Just as long as you don't near 14th st and under you'll be fine. West Allentown is pretty chill

I'm right next to Jack's! Don't recommend it. Unless the maserati is outside, then the boss is in!
