I owned a house on East Ave 5 years which was in this video like 3 times. Not a bad place during the daytime but it changes after 10pm. I worked 2nd shift and walked down these streets 2am to get home. I always referred to Hagerstown as the armpit of HELL. I've witnessed prostitutes working in the alleys behind my home. During the 5 years there was even 2 hit and run right in front of my home. The 2nd hit and run was a stolen truck that t-boned a cop car that was coming out of the alley behind my home. Heroin is the cancer that is eating away at that town. It is a old town my home was built in 1898. I sold back in 2005 during the housing market boom. Glad I left and now im happy in Tennessee.

The city fathers have done a wonderful job in marking the roads. I like the bike paths on the one ways. Also white markings show where the cars are to be parked. Also no parking signs and speed limit signs are liberally placed. Philly and Camden need to take notice on how these row housing avenues can be marked correctly. I find Maryland to be much better that Pennsylvania and New Jersey on road maintenance. It also shows how much nicer the same kind of neighborhoods could look if the cities took pride in black hoods instead of thinking that they don't deserve it. Which seems to be the case in Philly and Camden.I am sorry if you come from Philly or Camden but that is my impression just looking at Charlies videos.

All there is in cumberland is druggies, drunks, dealers, and abandoned buildings. Too bad they are tearing down central cumberland, guess the junkies gon be forced to move now.
@RachelCaruso3 жыл бұрын
While Cumberland is poorer in overall statistics, it's not nearly as rough or violent as Hagerstown is. It's also a misnomer that serious crime only happens in poor & dirty cities. People who try and make a change is this town, people who have spent their whole lives helping others in this town, and in Hagerstown, there is no Black nor White neighborhood. Lived in hagerstown for 15 years.. there are bad PARTS.. by parts I mean a handful of streets. TONS of heroin and crack. Lots of poverty, in tiny tiny sections.. so yes... that's a breeding ground for some violence. BUT.....you'll find these conditions in basically every city in america. Stop having competitions and arguments about which "hoods" are harder or more dangerous. You can find danger anywhere if you know where to look for it. To say that "this place looks nice or that place looks nice, I've walked through there, must be safe".. without having lived there or never been there at all.. is ignorant. Plus you just walked through a "nice" part at a safe time of day.

Dacrazycard wow that's crazy because there isn't a White Castle in Frederick, or anywhere in Maryland anymore.

You can usually tell the white "hoods" from the black "hoods". Apparently, they only sell brooms in the white hoods.

Those hoods don't look as bad as the hoods in most US cities I've seen on KZfaq, but those narrow streets makes the city look extremely cramped. Those streets don't look much wider than an alley. And the houses look like they are so close together a person would have to inhale and walk sideways just to get between them.
@RS-ms1bz Жыл бұрын
They are row houses with no walkways between them. They were built one against the other for blocks and blocks in all directions.
