Thinking about it, the lyrics kind of sound like they're from the perspective of the guy who rejected him... I think it just makes the song that much more melancholic, since it adds another layer on top of the unrequited love. The story becomes a tragedy for both sides, with the 'singer' still keeping that admiration and care, "You're like a cloud in the sky, You've got to go anywhere." As well as cursing out the whole world including himself, "The place where your unwanted is too suffocating, I'll let go of the you who's different." & "all of us who didn't even love your unfamillar side side, would stand here and get caught in the rain". I've always watched the MV but never watched the teaser. Came across the teaser today and realized the ending is not symbolic and the short-haired boy actually killed himself. What's genius about it is that because of the short hair boy's death, the other boy has now become "someone who no one wants 아무도 바라지 않는 그대" (in a way), which makes it perfect for him to be the main character in Teaser and the short hair boy main character of the MV. The power of combining a well-made song and a well-executed MV idea is crazy. This will definitely stay in my head for a very long time.

I always follow ALEPH releases through Spotify, it never crossed my mind to find him on KZfaq as I barely spend time for music here. I regret that, for not having found out this sooner. I fail to grasp the meaning of the lyrics yet, but the music video was such a phenomenon on its own. I was rooting for them, their youth, the one sided love to be mutual, and just when they were about to wake up from their time together to head back home, love reached its peak and suddenly everything changes in a blink. I still don't know what going to the other side of the river means but, I will come back to it as many times. It inspired me to write, too, so I'll be obsessed for a bit longer

tbh the title drew me in, the "schadenfreude" part more than anything, as a german person it is always fun in what ways other cultures understand this word. as i read the pinned comment i first realised why it is called that and in certain ways i agree, the uncertain pleasure while listening to songs like these can be described as "schadenfreude". although the german meaning is more like having fun watching someone else suffer, e.g. seeing someone not get the job they wanted and being happy about it because you don't like the person or seeing children fall so you laugh about it, that is what "schadenfreude" means. but looking at it from a different angle and perspective is very interesting, even though i do think this mv has more of an angsty kind of vibe i like the thought that this also might count as "schadenfreude"... overall great cinematics, i related to what was going on and nearly cried at the end. very well done
