In the original Kiljaden looked massive, with fiery eyes and fire surrounds him. Also they removed the floating rock islands in the background and the firestorm during the cutscene. What an upgrade lol

Also I may be wrong, but in the original, the massive version of Kil'jaeden uses the death animation to "vanish" in glowing lights and simply disappear. They seem to have forget about it here, and the reforged one seems to look like he's about to play his normal death animation, he looks like he's about to collapse normally.

It's an important detail to leave out considering it's the only foreshadowing we get of Kael'thas's later betrayal in BC.

its how they first started. the high elves were always sided with the humans. after Arthas destroyes their homeland the survivors became the blood elves, and were initially still helping the himans, but as we can see they were signed to aid the biggest asshole in their ranks which made them have no choice but to join a rogue faction, because their other option eas extinction because of the stupid racist hegemonistic mindset of an asshole.

They use the Human (Alliance) playable foundation for their buildings and units with many modifications, but doesn't take long for them to abandon the Alliance storywise.

@Frenly - DON'T... try to spin the story. He's a racist, godless cur who practically sent Kael'thas to his death by taking all the support forces for himself. An inept commander who has a bad sense of tactics, a guy who just NEEDS to be killed. And after reminiscing these cutscenes, I'm reminded of that.

@Frenly - You really need to study up on military strategy more to see what was really going on. Garithos wasn't "on the front", he was actually quite far from it. He barely got his hands dirty throughout most of the skirmishing, his main force doing the easy jobs, while those he had no confidence in to undertake the insurmountable ones. Prime example of being an inept general. The way Garithos does his commanding, reminds me much of Yuan Shao. If you know your history, you'd know what I'm talking about. And as far as his questioning, he was just looking for any excuse to persecute the elves. "Traitorous" was rather objective.

Or should I say, Garithos is really doing what he can to find fault in Blood Elves so that he could what he had been desiring: To kill the Elven Forces. I think from the start long before the Scourge plagued and the Burning Legion destroyed Lordaeron, Garithos really hated the Elves. And he hated it when the High Elves were part of the Alliance. Now that he was the only leader left among the forces of Alliance, he grabbed that opportunity to do what he can to get rid of the night elves.

Kael's defending Dalaran from west while Garithos is in the south. If you were Kael, best thing to do is not to be a traitor (consort with the Naga) and hold out the undead as best as you can until Garithos' reinforcements arrived (which will arrive since Garithos actually won the battle in the south but in the real timeline, he returned not to aid Kael but to arrest him for treason). And Kael can do it since it was a river to begin with. If Garithos wanted Kael to be dead to begin with then why Garithos gave 2 easy tasks to Kael to begin with? Assisting the supply convoy and repairing the observatories. Kael is basically Grom Hellscream by that time, complaining to Thrall why his "best warriors were put in manual labor?" Garithos always tracks Kael's progress and always go back and forth from Dalaran up to the southern frontlines. And all of the sudden, "we are warriors" Kael got shouting harsh languages to the Grand Marshal after he was given hard task and with human troops withdrawn to support the other fronts. It's Kael who is the problem to begin with. He joined the Alliance yet he had no trust in the plans of the high command and continuously disobeying their orders (just like elves during the Second War) Did you know that after the elves escaped through the portal, Garithos managed to push back the undead all the way to the Plaguelands, on his way to siege the Capital City, Detheroc mind-controlled him and yes, he did that without the elves by that time, read the lore you dumb dumb. Kael wasn't even a soldier, he's just a parasite in the Alliance thinking that Garithos had a cure for his magical addiction. It's all magic for him not loyalty.

You could see yourself being a racist then, which is a core trait of him. Not only that, Garithos defiles the very essence of the Alliance, spitting on dwarves and treating elves like expendables.

And humans hate the elves too for their actions in the Second War. But I guess, it is destined for humans to not be allied with these "demonic elves." If you're gonna say that the nearest relative of the Highborne (Azshara elves who served the demons) are the night elves then you're wrong, it's actually the high elves, they were once the subgroup of Highborne in Zin Azshari led by Dathremar Sunstrider and these elves are responsible for bringing in the demons in Azeroth. No wonder today's Horde composition are mostly former Legion servants LOL: orcs, forsaken (via Scourge), and blood elves And the good elves, the night elves, joined the Alliance. If you're seeing human racism as disgusting then the blood elves are more horrible, from their ancient history up to the Second and Third Wars.

Because the WOW/Stormwind Alliance didn't exist back then. But the New Alliance do, Garithos, as the highest-ranking survivor and warlord, was the de facto leader of the human resistance in Lordaeron. Technically, Garithos' Alliance is the only successor to the Terenas' Alliance (from Lordaeron to Lordaeron), when Garithos died, the Alliance went into an interregnum until a newly-rebuilt Stormwind emerged and took over Lordaeron's leadership as the heart/bastion of the (new) Grand Alliance.
